Colonial Union diplomat Hart Schmidt is back home for Harvest Day celebrations - to a family whose members wonder whether its youngest son isn’t wasting his life clinging to the lowest rung of the CU’s diplomatic ladder. When his father, a legendarily powerful politician, presents him with a compelling offer, Schmidt has to take stock of his life and career. "This Must Be the Place" is a tale from John Scalzi's The Human Division, a series of self-contained but interrelated short stories set in the Old Man's War universe.

This one is about Hart, you get to know him and his life more.

Nothing regarding the union or so, it is mainly about Hart. This one is not too bad, give it a listen and you will know why not writing much here.

Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

I loved this addition to the series!! I expected it will all be about MHI, but no, it was all about our lovely and "Classified" agent Franks. In the previous book we heard few times the word "Nemesis" and wondered what it was all about, and here we finally know what is Nemesis and how dangerous it is.
When I say too many things happened in this book, believe me, it was way toooo many things.. from new characters to new events, to deaths and to new lives and so on. This book was packed with everything you can think of.

What I loved about Nemesis is you get to know who is Franks and how he became agent Franks. I can't wait to get the next book and know what will happen next, specially with MHI!!!.

This short story is in the Night Huntress series but its not about Cat and Bones. Its about one of the vampires Bones sired, Chance. Bones asks Chance to step in and help one of his friends's grandchildren and Chance took that chance and helped out... He ended up meeting a lovely lady and helped her out of her problems with some mafia guys caused by her brother.

I enjoyed this short story and finally it came as an audiobook. Was waiting for it and the other short stories for a while now.

It was enjoyable read and an interesting ending...

If you are a fan of the series then buy this.. Its just the price was too much for less than 2 hours book.

For nearly 2,000 years, only one Druid has walked the Earth - Atticus O’Sullivan, the Iron Druid, whose sharp wit and sharp sword have kept him alive as he’s been pursued by a pantheon of hostile deities. Now he’s got company. Atticus’ apprentice, Granuaile, is at last a full Druid herself. What’s more, Atticus has defrosted an archdruid long ago frozen in time, a father figure (of sorts) who now goes by the modern equivalent of his old Irish name: Owen Kennedy. And Owen has some catching up to do.

I liked it, but it wasn't my favourite... It was divided into 3 sides, and that was a bit weird... a bit confusing .. I liked some parts, loved others, but got really bored with some too.

Its ending was fantastic and full of action! New characters are here, which is refreshing!

When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, Mrs. Quine just thinks her husband has gone off by himself for a few days - as he has done before - and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home. But as Strike investigates, it becomes clear that there is more to Quine's disappearance than his wife realizes. The novelist has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen-portraits of almost everyone he knows.

I have liked this book.. it was a really good read... but I was more interested in Cormoran Strike's story rather than the investigation.... Characters developed greatly here and I think the coming books would be way much better with these developments.

I don't say this often... but the first book was really much better than this one... I just didn't feel that connection that spark with this one.

Still recommend reading it, for the purpose of understanding the next books.

Amazing book Proven Guilty was.... it started bloody and ended cleanly.. I really enjoyed it all the way through... Dresden faces the truth regarding whats being a Warden is like, and its not easy.. The fallen angle does few interesting things here and Dresden helps someone we all were thinking "Where is that someone"!!!

The ending here was really good, it changes the future in this series and allows for too many possibilities!!

I have to say this in every review, the narration was amazing... James Marsters is a fantastic narrator.

Harry Dresden, Chicago's only practicing professional wizard, should be happy that business is pretty good for a change. But he also knows that whenever things are going good, the only way left for them to go is bad. Way bad. Recent examples: A duel with the lethal champion of the Red Court, who must kill Harry to end the war between vampires and wizards...Hit men using Harry for target practice...The missing Shroud of Turin - and the possible involvement of Chicago's most feared mob boss.

You would think Dresden would get a break after Summer Knight, but nooooo Jim Butcher had other deadly plans for our friend. You would think that at most there would be one deadly enemy, but again noo there are many. I felt really bad for Dresden. But at least there was new friends as well here, at least he wasn't by himself.

it is unbelievable how things progress in this series, and how Dresden developed over time. Such a great series.

I wonder what will happen next!?

The Winter Queen of Faerie has manipulated Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden into accepting a case to solve a murder and stop a war between the courts of Summer and Winter that could have literally earth shattering consequences. His own soul is up for grabs. Dresden must dig deep to discover that at time a willingness to accept a little help from your friends, be they a cub pack of werewolves, old loves in sheep's clothing, or a battalion of pizza loving dewdrop fairies, is a very good thing.

Wow!!!! what can I say other than WOW!!!! Dresden is a busy man... really busy one... Summer knight was really good.. especially the last few chapters, they were really good. James Marsters really knows how to give a great performance. I felt like i was there.

This book starts with a "regular" investigation into someone's suicide. I think if Dresden knew where this investigation would take him, he would have been surprised as well.

I really enjoyed this addition, and now officially a big fan of this series.

The Galactics arrived with their Battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined a vast Empire that spans the Milky Way. Our only worthwhile trade goods are our infamous mercenary legions, elite troops we sell to the highest alien bidder. In 2122 a lost colony expedition contacts Earth, surprising our government. Colonization is against Galactic Law, and Legion Varus is dispatched to the system to handle the situation. Earth gave them sealed orders, but Earth is 35 lightyears away.

many many challenges and twists... I am looking forward to the next instalment in this series.
