The Colonial Defense Forces usually protect humanity from alien attack, but now the stability of the Colonial Union has been threatened, and Lieutenant Heather Lee and her squad are called to squash a rebellion on a colony world. It seems simple enough - but there's a second act to the rebellion that finds Lee captive, alone, and armed with only her brains to survive.

In The Witch with No Name, Kim Harrison brings back her wildly popular heroine for one final, epic battle. Rachel Morgan's come a long way from the klutzy runner fleeing a bad job. She's faced vampires and werewolves, banshees, witches, and soul-eating demons. She's crossed worlds, channeled gods, and accepted her place as a day-walking demon. She's lost friends and lovers and family, and an old enemy has become something much more.

I have honestly loved this book, it is one of my favorites in this series. So many events so many twists so many changes.
Morgen was put into a tough spot, between a rock and a hard place and it felt like the world was against her. Demons, Elves, witches, werwolves, pixies and so on they all were involved and gosh how so many things happened here...

When i thought the book ended, it wasn't even close... I think Kim Harrison did a great job with this book and its ending was fantastic.

Loved it and loved this whole series .. Wonder if thats it or if there will be more of our lovely characters

Ever since she was a child, Ivy has been gripped by visions of strange realms just beyond her own. But when her sister goes missing, Ivy discovers the truth is far worse - her hallucinations are real, and her sister is trapped in a parallel realm. And the one person who believes her is the dangerously attractive guy who's bound by an ancient legacy to betray her. Adrian might have turned his back on those who raised him, but that doesn't mean he can change his fate, no matter how strong a pull he feels toward Ivy.

This is different to what am used to by Jeaniene Frost, its not the usual vampire stories with the lovely characters we all love... Its a completely different theme and story, no vamps, but its all about angels and demons, and all i can say that it was interesting...

The main character "Ivy" has some powers were made her life hard, she kept on seeing other things around her, not only what regular humans could but supernatural things... that part was interesting a bit... but i don't know how to say this, the story was going a bit too fast. I do think that it could have been a bit longer so there could be more details, it did go really fast and for some reason it didn't feel right.

but the plot itself is very interesting, it is different than the usual books you read and there is plenty of conflicts between the characters, which i have liked.

I'm interested in how it will continue, so for sure will get the next one.

I would say that this book really displayed the evil-ish or lets say the dark side of Harry.... I love how always the starts of these books are really WOW moments, but this one was WOW * 3413413112344 .. My jaw was hanging when i heard what a certain person told Harry, and i think his reaction was even worse than mine.

What I love about this series that its not only the one thing happening, but its the too many things that are happening, so you never get bored at all.... And in this one believe me when I say you will never get bored for even a single second.

Narration is amazing as usual...... And the end of this book was one of the best and one of the most WOW moments I have experienced.

I'm going to spoil this book if i say anything else... So lets just say that it was much much better than the previous one, and it established few things which will make the upcoming ones more exciting.

Star Force is called to arms again! Outcast is a new beginning, the first book in a new spin-off series. Many peaceful years have passed since the Macro Wars ended. Most of those who fought against the heartless machines have aged - but not the ingenious artificial construct known as Marvin. His insatiable curiosity is as strong as ever, and he’s brought home fresh perils to humanity’s doorstep.

I have really enjoyed listening to this addition of star force. Maybe it should have been a new series rather than a continuation???

This addition is all about Cody Riggs and Captain Marvin.. I do really like Marvin and I'm quite excited into knowing how his future will be like.... This book is a different adventure than the previous ones, so don't think you are going back to the same spin and theme, its different, and different is goooooood!!!!!

I think there are few things here and there that could have been better, but they are minor things... Still, the book was really good.

Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

I loved this addition to the series!! I expected it will all be about MHI, but no, it was all about our lovely and "Classified" agent Franks. In the previous book we heard few times the word "Nemesis" and wondered what it was all about, and here we finally know what is Nemesis and how dangerous it is.
When I say too many things happened in this book, believe me, it was way toooo many things.. from new characters to new events, to deaths and to new lives and so on. This book was packed with everything you can think of.

What I loved about Nemesis is you get to know who is Franks and how he became agent Franks. I can't wait to get the next book and know what will happen next, specially with MHI!!!.

This short story is in the Night Huntress series but its not about Cat and Bones. Its about one of the vampires Bones sired, Chance. Bones asks Chance to step in and help one of his friends's grandchildren and Chance took that chance and helped out... He ended up meeting a lovely lady and helped her out of her problems with some mafia guys caused by her brother.

I enjoyed this short story and finally it came as an audiobook. Was waiting for it and the other short stories for a while now.

For nearly 2,000 years, only one Druid has walked the Earth - Atticus O’Sullivan, the Iron Druid, whose sharp wit and sharp sword have kept him alive as he’s been pursued by a pantheon of hostile deities. Now he’s got company. Atticus’ apprentice, Granuaile, is at last a full Druid herself. What’s more, Atticus has defrosted an archdruid long ago frozen in time, a father figure (of sorts) who now goes by the modern equivalent of his old Irish name: Owen Kennedy. Its ending was fantastic and full of action! New characters are here, which is refreshing!

When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, Mrs. Quine just thinks her husband has gone off by himself for a few days - as he has done before - and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home. But as Strike investigates, it becomes clear that there is more to Quine's disappearance than his wife realizes. The novelist has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen-portraits of almost everyone he knows.

I have liked this book.. it was a really good read... but I was more interested in Cormoran Strike's story rather than the investigation.... Characters developed greatly here and I think the coming books would be way much better with these developments.

I don't say this often... but the first book was really much better than this one... I just didn't feel that connection that spark with this one.

Still recommend reading it, for the purpose of understanding the next books.
