With the Japanese Imperium at war with the Soviet Union, and the United States watching cautiously on the sidelines, Second Lieutenant Joe Sullivan of the U.S. Marines is sent on a dangerous mission to Tokyo. There’s nothing worse than a cruel, cunning enemy with time to kill - and my murder to plan. With wicked Fire elemental Mab Monroe long gone, you’d think I could finally catch a break. But someone’s always trying to take me down, either as Gin Blanco or my assassin alter-ago. Now along comes the Spider’s new arch-nemesis, the mysteriously named M. M. Monroe, who is gleefully working overtime to trap me in a sticky web of deceit.

Really enjoyed this addition, its different than what we are used to. It has a different plot and different approach... don't want to say how exactly, but trust me it was good .. And the ending was shocking and exciting.. Gosh, if you compare this book to the first one, gosh so much difference in between..

    You will enjoy this addition.

Jim Butcher did a fantastic job with this series.... I was shocked how good and enjoyable this book was.. I was really shocked... maybe it would have been best to explain a bit what Furies were so we don't get confused, but other than that I have really enjoyed this book.. and i can tell that the next books which i will start reading soon will be as good and even better.

Kate Reading is a fantastic narrator and she always does an amazing job in narrating characters and giving them life.. She is one of my favourite narrators as she did a great job in the way of kings and the wheel of times.

    Great book...

On the night of the new moon, the demons rise in force, seeking the deaths of two men, both of whom have the potential to become the fabled Deliverer, the man prophesied to reunite the scattered remnants of humanity in a final push to destroy the demon corelings once and for all.

Really enjoyed this addition, much better than the 2nd book... but still all my points in the 2nd book still apply... too many familiar things with this world... too many....

But liked the development of the worded man and how he is coming with things... enjoyed the development of many characters and there choices...

The ending in this book was good... for some reason I assumed it was the last addition to the series but oh no, there will be more for sure..... wonder how things will be like next.

Again... it could have been much much better book....

As the new story begins, Leeds and his "aspects" are hired by I3 (Innovative Information Incorporated) to recover a corpse stolen from the local morgue. But there's a catch. The corpse is that of a pioneer in the field of experimental biotechnology, a man whose work concerned the use of the human body as a massive storage device. He may have embedded something in the cells of his now dead body. And that something might be dangerous.

This is such a good series. Brandon is really a gifted writer, so many different books, so many different ideas. Legion is just crazy!!! love all these characters, and wonder how the future of this series will be like.. In this book interesting character development (fake characters (or imagined characters) and the real one).. wonder how the next book will be like...
It must be not easy to have all these different personalities living in your mind and interacting with them... And just think of all the money our friend Steve is spending on all these different personalities when they join him... like the first class tickets in the last book.

Brandon Sanderson, bring the next book ASAP.... But first bring the 3rd addition of the Stormlight Archive... Can't wait.

This book was good, I have enjoyed it, you get to know the folks at the desert spear and tend to know their back story and their future plans... it does have a different start than the first book.. so you will be a bit confused thinking whats going on here...
More and more things got cleared up and you get to know the enemy more and more... You get to be with the warded man and he get to face his past.

Now lets talk about what i didn't like in this book and in series in general:
    - This whole series is based in a time where please speak that fancy old english style like in the wheel of times and so on, but then all the sudden you find modern slangs here and there.. it gets really confusing... too many modern and current time words for it to be based in such a time.

    - Those folks from the desert spear... those are the basic description of Arabic folks who live in the desert .. nothing unique about them, no imagination, the women wear Hijab like the desert folks and a man can have more than one wife and so on... other books tend to come up with weird cultures and unique ones, nothing based on real current culture.. I understand that some of you guys would say ohh but its built on a life after the modern current age, thats why the modern terms are there and thats why the cultures are so similar.. I don't buy that, if that was the case then the modern slang would have stayed rather than disappearing, and plenty of constructions would be there rather than disappearing completely.

Again, too many similar things to make this book unique and enjoyable .. love the imagination that authors tend to have, but sadly, it wasn't so vast in this series .

Peter V. Brett has won accolades from critics, fans and fellow authors alike for this riveting debut novel. The Warded Man features a world where demons stalk the night, hunting humans who have long forgotten the magic of their ancestors. But all is not lost, as some hold out hope that a savior will release humanity from the demons' terrifying reign.

I had this book for months, but kept on postponing it.. Its really good.. Not as jaw dropping as other big epic books like the wheel of time... but it is a good series...

I think that this series could have been one of those long series with several books to build the characters and the story plot... i'm not saying it was fast in this book, but it could have been longer with more characters and plots..... There were so many chapters were the author jumped for few years...

The Warded Man is based in a world were demons exist and attack humans every single night. People defend themselves by using wards and hide.... A boy grows up hating how everyone hides and no one attack those demons...

In general, I have enjoyed reading this book, and the character build up was good... its ending was very well and made me jump and purchase the 2nd book and read it already.

    enjoy!

Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen - all of them - and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood - the blood of Olympus - in order to wake.

Really didn't like how things went with Gaia.... it just was too short too sudden... what??? 5 books for only one page of action??? it was annoying... really annoying.

other than that, it wasn't a bad book.... i just do hate such buildups and then... well you will see...

    It could have been better.

The Galactics arrived with their Battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined a vast Empire that spanned the Milky Way. Our only worthwhile trade goods are our infamous mercenary legions, elite troops we sell to the highest alien bidder. In the third book in the series, James McGill is deployed on another alien world. His third interstellar tour is different in every way. Rather than meeting up with a primitive society, this time he’s headed to an advanced world.

If you ask me "Did you like this addition", then I say Yes.
If you ask "Did you love it", then its no.
If you ask "Why?", I'll say because it could have been shorter, and the ending was really really slow.... didn't really like that.

But i do think it was book 2.5 more than 3 as it prepares you for the next chapter or part of this series. Let see how things become.
