"This Series is AMAZING"
Let me say it, when i read the first book i didn't think the series was that good... but honestly i wasn't focused at that time.... but when i got the 2nd book, i bought 3rd, 4th, 4.5th and this one all at once. ...
I love a book when i laugh during it, and this series an this book made me laugh a lot.
Narration is as good as always, and the ending in this books is so good... can't wait to read bok 6
There is so many good characters, but my favorite is Oberon... That dog is damn funny
But in this book what i didn't like is the last few chapters... it felt like it went so fast... someone comes says you must do this, and then he goes and do it .... which it should have been harder in my opinion than how easy it sounded like.... i feel like the previous books were better, but i feel like this book being a preparation for a great 6th book.
"Good Start Good Ending But Slow Book"
The start of this book wasn't bad, a lot of action and tracking. but then the middle of the book towards the end of it it was slow and fast... some events passed by quickly, and other events passed by slowly.
Honestly i think this series could be really really good. so many things could have been written in a different way, and so many events could have been executed in a difference way too, making this book way much better.
One of the things i mean is those Grishens, yes it was explained some how their powers in the first bok, but how it works and so on were not presented that clearly.
I was going to give this book a lesser rating, but the end of it was really good. and I hope that the 3rd book would be much better than this one.
If you read the first one, then give this one a shot, its not bad, but could have been better. And if you have no idea whats this book about, then go and buy the first one and give it a try.
Cheers.
"Another Great Horror book"
Not all authors can do what Stephen King can do. First of all what made me buy this book before i even read the summary is that its a horror book by Stephen King called "Joyland" that was a reason enough for me. if you liked King's other horror book you will love this one. Remember how his book Duma key was? If you do then just add this and read it, and if you don't go buy Duma Key too then.
I was waiting for this book for a while and i decided listening to a horror book at night would be the greatest thing, so took the day off from work and had a good scary listen to this book
I don't want to say whats going on in the book exactly and i advice you not to check because getting surprised is way much better.
The narrator did a great job, plenty of differente voices, and he gave life to these characters.
highly recommended and you will love it.
"Best one yet!!!!"
Lets cut to the point, while i was reading this book i was thinking "WHAT!!!! These kind of things happen in the end of a series not here".. I was shocked of what was happening here, and honestly i can say that so far this book is the best in this awesome series.
Let me give you a small hint, a new dark hunter joins the club here.
Enjoy!
"Its good, but could have been much better."
This book is about humanity "Earthers" going into some kind of a vage mission, which doesn't make that much sense with the reason giving by the author to discover other life forms. They stumble into a planet with many suns and with another race of human called the "Didetos" who don't look human but they are being called humans, but thats fine.
What made me buy this book was the idea of us humans being the technologically advanced aliens discovering a planet with human life who are advanced in technology but not as much as us. We always think that aliens will discover us not the other way around which was a cool idea.
Issues:
The problem was that there was many vage points here and there, for example: the Didetos were not giving a detailed description in my opinion and i had a hard time imagining how the hek they look like, kept on thinking of monkeys the whole time i think. Also the whole mission doesn't make much sense, they thought on how to go forward, but nothing in the book shows that they planned how to go back at all. Another issue is the number of people going through this mission, they show in the book that it was a major mission and with high risks, if so why sending only 6 members, shouldn't it been more? And sadly you might say in the end "what then!!" "Did we finish" "whats going on?", the ending could have been bette. I do hope that there will be a next bok after this one.
You will find these small issues here and there, which are a bit disappointing. But still story wise it was a good read. I have enjoyed reading this bok, and i did like it from the beginning.
The narrator was good, and did a good job with this book
If you like reading anything about space and discovery, not war, you will like this book.
"Better than the first book"
The story was much better than the first book, narration was good as well, and I liked this bok way much more than the first one. You get to know the Price family more here and what enemies they have, and Verity shows how strong and smart she is.
If you liked the first one, you will like this one even more.
"A Start of A New Age!!!"
Yes, each book before was thought about as a new chapter, but this book did not only end a new chapter with Star Force, but it also started a new age for them.
The first few chapters started well, you have your usual saving some biotics and so on, but that doesn't take much from the book as i was fearing at first. Although the beginning was full of action, what happened next wasn't full of action, but it was still a game changer. And if that wasn't enough, what happend during the end of the book was full of action as usual, and it ended another chapter, but rather than just ending another chapter for Star Force it started a new age for them. I think the next book will be full of events and would love to know what will happen in that one.
New characters are added here, and Marvin still does his weird thing always, and you could feel him growing up this time, which was a bit weird
A good addition to the Star Force series, and lets see whats next.
"Worth the Listen!!"
I liked the idea of this book, very interesting.
Storyline was good, and could have been better, but still good. And the narration was good.
But the issue that i had with this book was a combination of the book itself and the narration, I got lost couple of times and confused. This story was told through three groups, and though the main group and the most focused one was the USS Walker, still when the narration switched to other group i got so confused and didn't know what was going on for 10 minutes. (that happened once or twice)
I hope the rest are written and narrated better than this one, and looking forward to see what will happen.
If you like these stories which talk about alternative realities, then you will like this one.
"A Fantastic Book"
I know this is a late late late review, but i just finished it.
I am a big fan of Brandon Sanderson, but i just got the time to read this book, his first published book.
And again it is fantastic book. not similar to his other work and all original.
Narration was good and they way the story went was smooth. There are twists through the book, and the ending wasn't what i thought it would be, it was far better.
so far its a standalone book, maybe there will be future ones or not, no idea. But i liked that Brandon didn't give just an ending, he gave the option of related boks to this one.
"Where Does Brandon Come up With These Ideas?!!"
Brandon Sanderson is truly one of the greatest authors.. So far every single book he released was amazing and The Rithmatist is a good example.
When I read the summary of this book before, i'll be honest I didn't understand what was the book about, but I bought the book anyway just because of the author, and I don't regret it at all.
I am going to be basic here, The Rithmatists are people who can defend and attack by drawing things and bringing them to life. (This is to clear what is going on exactly)
One of the things that I liked about this book was the world itself, this book's world is our world with some changes, but still this world, and actually liked that (didn't have to understand and remember different countries and so on)
Another good thing is that the plot. It doesn't go as you would have expected, there are few things that go the other way, which is always appreciated.
Brandon Sanderson gave us another great book, gave a fantastic ending which could lead to so many possibilities in the future... I'm sure there will be future books after this one.
If you are wondering wether to buy this book or not, then i would say go and BUY IT NOW!!!! If you liked Brandon Sanderson's books before, you will like this one too. and if you never heard of Brandon Sanderson, then just buy it anyway, you will love his work.
"Black Jack Going BackHome Again and Again!!!"
oh Black Jack is back, and people are not as stupid as they were in previous books. Many challenges come in this boo, but to be honest i did predict some of them.. so they were not as sudden as i hoped they could be.
I do love those funny moments when they come in these books, and in this one it had some fun fun times. you'll know what i mean
Love the narration and the author and looking forward for the next book as this book will give you a good idea of what could happen in the next book, and how good it looks like it will be.
