"5 to narrator 4 to book"
    Overall

The narrator's voice was good and she presented the story well.

The book itself was a good read, although it didn't quite deserve the 5 rating. Nevertheless, the author did a good job of bringing me in to her world, and I got enjoyment from the story. The whole poison aspect brought a whole new dynamic to the story, and she somehow presented the main character with a womanly strength when she at the same time required an antidote to servive daily. She had both strengths and weaknesses, as did everyone, which made things believable.

    A fun read.

    "Loved it!"

I enjoyed this audio probably more than I would have enjoyed reading the book. The narrator brings all the characters to life. I loved it and loved the characters and am hoping and waiting for a sequel.

    "Mixed feelings"
    Overall

This series is one of my favorites. This is (I believe) the longest one in the series, and the beginning isn't as good as the last half. This narrator's voice took me a good 6 or 7 hours to get use to, otherwise I might have given this audio 5 stars. His version of Zed sounded like an Irish/frog-man/something else and so did several other voices. The first book and third book narrators are better, but this book is still worth the read/listen. Classic fantasy series!

    "Classic Fantasy Series"
    Overall

Truly amazing characters, especially the idea of the confessors and Kahlan Amnel's character. The narrator of this book did good, especially with Zed's voice, although I will admit I laughed when I heard the night wisp's voice. That was a little strange. Overall, the reading was good, and this is one of my favorite medieval fantasy series. Side note: the series on television just isn't the same, but I'm watching it anyway.
