After being dumped by his longtime girlfriend, 28-year-old Justin Halpern found himself living at home with his 73-year-old dad. Sam Halpern, who is “like Socrates, but angrier, and with worse hair,” has never minced words, and when Justin moved back home, he began to record all the ridiculous things his dad said to him.

    "WAY over rated Sh*t"

It's not just boring -- it's abrasive and offensive. It should be called "F Words MyDad Says" Every other word seems to be an f word and "Dad's" voice grates on the nerves. He's supposed to be a neurologist (or something) and I've never heard ANY doctor speak like that. Boo hiss. I take that one star back.

The gigantic comet had slammed into Earth, forging earthquakes a thousand times too powerful to measure on the Richter scale, tidal waves thousands of feet high. Cities were turned into oceans; oceans turned into steam. It was the beginning of a new Ice Age and the end of civilization. But for the terrified men and women chance had saved, it was also the dawn of a new struggle for survival--a struggle more dangerous and challenging than any they had ever known....

    "One of the Greatest!!"

If you like a good "End-of-the-World-As-We-Know-It" tale, Lucifer's Hammer is among the very best! You feel like you're right there with the characters as they try to build a society out of chaos. A fantastic read and a fine listen.
