Tracie Peterson, from her own Montana home, paints an unforgettable portrait of the rich, rugged landscape of the 1860's West, populated by strong and spirited characters. When Dianne Chadwick urges her family to move west to her uncle's ranch in the Montana Territory, she has no idea that her new life in the rugged frontier - and even within her uncle's home - will not be the idyllic adventure she expects.

If you could sum up Land of My Heart in three words, what would they be?

    Discovery, acceptance, practice

What did you like best about this story?

From the first to last words in this book, Christ Jesus and His redemption is displayed in novel which sets out perfectly a real life scenario. I want to listen to books that are Bible studies in themselves always for sure sticking to good theology, which this one does.

    Which scene was your favorite?

At the end of the book, last chapter....Diane hitting home what Cole's heartache really was all about.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Diane's uncle sharing his former life story.

    Any additional comments?

This book and I'm sure the series (I am going to start book 2) are a must listen.

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Well written, well produced, well read

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jake - I'd want him to be my attorney

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

when Lucien began discovering who Leddie really was

    Any additional comments?

This is a first rate book that I needed to listen to. I'm from the west, moved to Maryland where stuff like this happened, and still plagues this area and all the people. I needed reminded.

This heart-stirring tale of a young slave girl, torn between her love for a handsome aristocrat and her faith in God, transcends genres with its awe-inspiring power and emotional intensity.

Would you listen to A Voice in the Wind again? Why?

Yes, I've read the series and will listen to it again

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Voice in the Wind?

    Hadassa's rescue

What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He pronounces the many Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic words perfectly and just does an over all excellent job in the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I think I didn't want it to end

    Any additional comments?

I read the book years ago and didn't realize how much this book needs to be listened to!!!
The story comes to life when you can listen to and picture everything in your mind. It really showers you with the gospel, love, serving, wonderful book Praise the Lord for Francine's gift of putting the scriptures in this format.

The "unsinkable” Titanic was four city blocks long, with a French “sidewalk café,” private promenade decks, and the latest, most ingenious safety devices… but only twenty lifeboats for the 2,207 passengers and crew on board.

Gliding through a calm sea, disdainful of all obstacles, the Titanic brushed an iceberg. Two hours and forty minutes later, she upended and sank. Only 705 survivors were picked up from the half-filled boats of “the ship that God Himself couldn’t sink.”

Would you listen to A Night to Remember again? Why?

Yes I would because it was a factual interesting documentary of that fateful night. I discovered answers to questions I have always had in this book. I'm glad the narrator had his soft steady voice, it really showed how everyone didn't believe the trouble they were actually facing.

    Any additional comments?

I know now that the 1st and 2nd class male passengers thought more highly of themselves than they should have and didn't rescue the poorer women and children. Lots of lies and wrong doing were hidden in this tragedy and also many bad things that happened will never happen again without great judgment upon those who attempt to save themselves over being heroes and putting others first.
