Born to a prominent Chicago judge and his stifled socialite wife, Mia Dennett moves against the grain as a young inner-city art teacher. One night, Mia enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn't show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. Amos Decker's life changed forever - twice. The first time was on the gridiron. A big, towering athlete, he was the only person from his hometown of Burlington ever to go pro. But his career ended before it had a chance to begin. On his very first play, a violent helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him off the field for good and left him with an improbable side effect - he can never forget anything.

Would you try another book from David Baldacci and/or Ron McLarty?

Ron McLarty is the best. This book had a weak plot and nothing original. It is not the best work of David Baldacci and I am a big fan.

Would you ever listen to anything by David Baldacci again?

Yes but not this new series. Horrible character

Which character – as performed by Ron McLarty – was your favorite?

Decker should close his mind and not open it again

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Extreme disappointment. The ending was so weak, I fell asleep.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This is the most wordy book I have ever listen to in the last year.

What could Lee Child have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Too much BS about getting arrested, booked and questioned. Boring story line.

How could the performance have been better?

    Narrator has little vocal variety.

What character would you cut from Killing Floor?

    Lee Child I am done........

    Any additional comments?

I will never download a Lee Child audiobook again.
