Not at all. To me it was all over the place. I couldn't get the characters straight while listening. Everyone sounded pretty much the same to me.
I liked her other books but the main character in this story just annoys me to death. She is whiny and comes to too many WRONG conclusions about situations. I gritted my teeth during the first hour and I had to stop.
The voices she did were horrible. It was very annoying. Half the time I couldn't distiguish what character she was. She was very boring, slow, and monitone.
I got this book when it was on sale for 1.99. To me it was way to much for it. Dont waste your time buying this book.
I love hearing Lucas account of everything and how it gives his background.
Easy, because that's what it goes to haha
I can't pick just one. I will say hearing his past broke my heart. But I absolutely loved the whole thing.
It made me laugh, cry, smile, and swoon (seriously!) in some parts. Zachary was the perfect narrator for this book. He did every character perfectly. And his voice? WOW!
I really love the story of Lucas and Jaquelin. I have listened to Easy at least 20 times and Breakable I've listened to about 4 times already. I really wish they would keep their story going. Its like losing friends when the books finish.
I love love loved Adrian in the books from Vampire Acadamey into the 3rd book into the Bloodlines book. I thought Emily did a FANTASTIC job on his voice. But to listen to this book and to have them bring in some guy to do Adrians voice?! No. It totally messed it up for me. Adrian is meant to have a british accent not some flat dull voice.
I'm still listening to it but it's really hard for me to get into it since the voices are all messed up.
I love Emily Shaffer. I think she does a faboulous job on reading. Alden? I'm sure he tried his hardest but I couldn't listen to him. I hope the next book that comes out is JUST Emily!
I couldn't fairly answer this yet. I just started it. Though it is hard for me to get through it since it's so confusing for Adrian to sound so different.
Please consider re-doing this book with JUST EMILY. Shes done a fantastic job on all the books and I think it would be perfect just to leave her as the ONLY narrator.
I love the books by them but for this title i'm going to just have to buy the book itself.
Ugh where do I begin? It sounded like she was in a tunnel. She is too rushed. Can't pronounce half the names right. The way she ends each and every sentence annoys me because it seems like she is about to continue the sentence instead of stopping at the end. Everything is a run on. I can't even tell what character is talking because they all sound the same and they all sound so evil. I had to stop listening to this book all together. I stopped listening after she entered chapter 3. I had hoped it would get better but I just couldn't tollerate it anymore.
I would suggest just getting the physical book of this one. Unless you can tollerate her ramblings for 11 hours.
I think most of my friends have read this series! They kept trying to get me to read them all but never found the time. Finally I gave in. I would definitely recommend this book to others. Such a great story.
I have to say Stevie Ray. I just love how laid back she is and how true she is.
Backed away from the Mic when swallowing. It really started to get on my nerves after awhile.
