I loved this book! I was enchanted all the way thru and then it gets to the end and you are like.... what? What happened to the story line? It is like the writer just got tired of writing the story and wanted to hurry up and finish the damn book. So, be prepared. A good book with a good story line until the ending.

I loved all the other Walt Longmire books but this one is not my favorite. I just couldn't get into the story at times. I honestly thought this one was boring. I suppose in every series that has to be one that is the least favorite and this is mine. George Guidell was excellent as always.

Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) and the Weird (where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny). Only Edgers like Rose can easily travel from one world to the next, but they never truly belong in either.

It starts out a bit slow but I guarantee you that you will be so hooked on this book that instead of listening to it on way to work and breaking it up over a few weeks, you will stay up all night listening to it like I did. I just couldn't get enough, I was sucked in, I was part of the story! A fantastic story with fantastic characters. I could visualize them all as I lived in the story while it was being told. When it ended, I was so sad to return to the real world.

Spur Award-winner Craig Johnson has garnered critical acclaim for his Walt Longmire mysteries. In this riveting seventh entry, Wyoming’s Absaroka County sheriff, Walt Longmire, is pushed beyond his limits. When three hardened convicts escape FBI custody in a mountain blizzard, an armed psychopath leads them up Big Horn Mountain. As Longmire struggles to track their treacherous ascent, he’ll need all the help he can get from the tribal spirits of the towering summit.

    Story

This is one of the most excellent books I have ever listened to. Craig Johnson is a fantastic writer with such detail that you can visually see all the characters in your mind as the story unfolds. The Walt Longmire character is fascinating, deeply philosophical and funny. Can someone please find me a man like that in real life!!!!!!!!! What I love most about this series is the quick wit and the everyday humor. If Craig Johnson stops writing about Walt Longmire, well..... I will just have to commit suicide...end of story.
