Once upon a time...as a fair maiden lay weeping upon a cold tombstone, her heartfelt desire was suddenly made real before her: Tall, broad of shoulder, attired in gleaming silver and gold, her knight in shining armor had come to rescue his damsel in distress.... Hailed worldwide as one of the most romantic novels of all time, Jude Deveraux's dazzling best seller "will capture your heart - and hold it" (Daily Herald, Chicago) with its breathtaking tale.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The female lead was a little too stupid and whimpy for my taste. Although she toughen up a little towards the end, I found it hard to care what happened to her cause she was so stupid. I would have made her stronger with just a series of circumstances that ended her up where she was, not her being stupid and letting people walk on her.

What could Jude Deveraux have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I would have made my lead a little less whimpy.

What about Steve West’s performance did you like?

Steve West's voice is perfect for this type of story. He did a great job with the characters. It was by far my favorite part of the book, listening to him.

Regarded as yet another threat to the volatile King Henry VII's claim to the throne, Margaret Pole, cousin to Elizabeth of York (known as the White Princess) and daughter of George, Duke of Clarence, is married off to a steady and kind Lancaster supporter - Sir Richard Pole. For his loyalty, Sir Richard is entrusted with the governorship of Wales, but Margaret's contented daily life is changed forever with the arrival of Arthur, the young Prince of Wales, and his beautiful bride, Katherine of Aragon.

What made the experience of listening to The King's Curse the most enjoyable?

I love how Phillippa Gregory takes the known facts about events and weaves them into a completely believable story. The intensive research she did really shows in her work. I learned things I never knew about good King Henry.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The King's Curse?

There were lots of memorable moments in this book. It is hard to believe the events were all the result of one woman's life, it was more like a day time soap opera, with a lot more violence and death.

What does Bianca Amato bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I always enjoy listening to Bianca Amato's performances. She has a very good voice that brings the characters to life.

In this short audiobook, a retired detective reopens this cold case and attempts to piece together the evidence and answer the great mystery about what really happened to the young Princes. Were they really murdered? If so, what happened to the bodies and who did the evil deed? Or were they left unharmed and left to live out their days in peace? Was a challenging offered up in place of Richard, Duke of York by Elizabeth Woodville and was that why Henry VII was so concerned by Perkin Warbeck?

If you could sum up Cold Case Reopened in three words, what would they be?

    Just the facts!

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The narrator had a good voice and was easy to listen too.

    Any additional comments?

This was a unique approach to solving the age old mystery of who killed the Princesses in the Tower. I enjoyed that the author conducted a police investigation to come to his conclusions. Very interesting information and good research.

The human race is all but extinct after a war with Partials - engineered organic beings identical to humans - has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by RM, a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island while the Partials have mysteriously retreated. The threat of the Partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to RM in more than a decade. Our time is running out.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I thought the story progressed a little too slowly, and parts were dragged out too long.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

    The concept was interesting.

Do you think Partials needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It does need a follow-up book, but I didn't enjoy the first one enough to read the second one.

What made the experience of listening to Day By Day Armageddon the most enjoyable?

I really felt like I was part of the experience the main character was going though as the world came to an end and he tried to survive. I liked that he was a good person and helped others try to make their way in this new world. That he was scared yet did what he had to do anyway.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I enjoyed the lead character and the dog Annabell.

Have you listened to any of Jay Snyder’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narrator has a really good voice for this book. He does a great job. Easy to listen too.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me what to know more about what happened to the survivors.

Kiernan Dunne abandoned his family ties to help Kate fight the Cyrists, and he's never regretted that for one moment. But he doesn't understand why Kate can't remember that night in 1893 Chicago, when she turned back to face the killer chasing them through the smoky corridors of the World's Fair Hotel. Kate placed the CHRONOS key around his neck and made his eight-year-old self promise to wear it always, and that's a promise Kiernan has never broken.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was interesting to get a little back story about a character from the first book, but I wasn't a big fan of the first book, so it wasn't thrilling for me.

Have you listened to any of Nick Podehl’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I enjoyed the performer's voice and characters very much, he did a good job. Easy to listen to.

The first book of Day by Day Armageddon took us deep into the mind of a military officer and survivor as he made a New Year's resolution to start keeping a journal. The man kept his resolution and brought to us the fall of humanity, day by day. We see the man transition from the life that you and I live to the prospect of fighting for his very survival against the overwhelming hordes of the dead. We see him bleed, we see him make mistakes, we witness him evolve.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was entertaining, but not as captivating as the first book was.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

There wasn't much of interest for me in this book. The main character spent a lot of time trying to get home, so I missed his interactions with his old crew of friends.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Maybe. I would see the first book as a movie for sure.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I think that for this story the audiobook is the best way to go. There are so many different characters speaking so many different types of language, Cajun, French, slang...I'm not sure a reader would even be able to pronounce some of the words, much less get the Cajun accent right, and Emma Galvin, the narrator does a great job of taking care of all of it for you.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Poison Princess?

I really enjoyed when Evie started to realize she was not a mortal, but part of something bigger.

Have you listened to any of Emma Galvin and Keith Nobbs ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Emma Galvin in the Divergent series and I thought she did a great job with those books too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have loved to listen to the book in one sitting, but I wasn't able to. I did listen to it every moment I could, and I will listen to it again.

What did you love best about Endless Knight?

I loved how well each character is developed with very unique backgrounds that are revealed to the reader as they are revealed to the lead character Evie. The author did a great job pulling you in to feel the indecision Evie was going through. I found myself reacting to the new knowledge about characters just as Evie had. So it was an emotional ride, and very fun.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Endless Knight?

I really liked when Evie decided that not everyone was "good" or "bad." "Good - Bad - Good." The story gave the characters more than one dimension to their personalities and this author did that very well.

What does Emma Galvin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Emma is a fantastic narrator. Her different voices for each character were so real I would sometimes forget the story was being read by one person.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    It made me want more!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I enjoyed listening to the performance. I just didnt find the story interesting. Seemed to be for a younger audience. The actors did a fabulous job. The story was just a bunch of made up characters and places. I never felt there was any real threat to the characters, it was all just a little too bizarre for me.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    The new Phillipa Gregory book.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

    I like Richard and Door.

The characters did very mean things.
