"My first Evanovich!"
Now I can see why my friends like her so much. Fun and lighthearted storyline. I'll have to start her series - long overdue!
"Predictable"
But there's nothing wrong with predictable. It took me awhile to figure out that Brittany and Andy were from another book in the series which would have made it a little less confusing. The author could have pulled that connection together a little better in the beginning. Some of the dialog was a bit "fake" or hokey from Wes or maybe the narrator didn't deliver it very well. Overall, enjoyed the storyline and the characters. Hope there's another one at some point.
"Same story, different title"
This has a very similar story line to "Everyday Average Jones" except that it's the hero instead of the heroine who is pushing the other one away. I know there is a need to create some angst in the love story, but the entire book has spent too much time with the main characters running away from each other. I still enjoyed the story - just not as much as some of the others in the series.
"Another great book in this series!"
I really like how each Navy Seal in this series has such a different background and you may know them from prior books, but really do not know much about them until you get to the book that focuses on them. Yes, I know that is typical in a series such as this, but there have been some pleasant surprises with each new book. Each Navy Seal is deep in their own way and the author examines their vulnerable side while still displaying their macho tough guy side which is exciting.
I really like this narrator - she adds a certain touch to each character. All the narrators have been good, but this one is my favorite.
"A letdown"
I still love this series, but this one was a letdown from the previous book in the series which was the best one so far ("Frisco's Kid"). I like all of the Navy Seal characters, but this one got dragged out more than it needed to and Melody became irritating after awhile. I did like the narrator on this one - she seemed more like the first one in the series. I actually liked the storyline with Brittany and Andy better. Hope the next is better and gets back on track.
"Tear Jerker - it was wonderful!"
I was actually surprised how moving this story in the series was compared to the first two books. I really liked it and actually brought a tear to my eye in the end. Missed the narrator from the first two books, but this one was pretty good as well. I just like when the voices of the same characters stay the same. But this narrator did a good job.
"Steamy romance"
If you want the good guys to always win, the gal to win her man's heart, and some rock solid bodies to dream about, this is the book/series for you! The story also has some intrigue in it, but it's still a great and steamy romance throughout. Love it!
"A great romance"
Just a perfect love story and would highly recommend. It reads well - no fuss, no fluff. Loved the narrator.
"Interesting"
I bought this book based on several reader recommendations. It was a good book and the narrator was excellent. Not sure it's my cup of tea overall, but I would recommend it to anyone who might enjoy a "he man" type of book.
"Fantastic!"
Held me captive from the 1st chapter to the end. Very much a surprise twist in the end which added all the more. I love Nora Roberts but one of my top 10 picks for sure!
"Hilarious, moving, fantastic!"
Kristen had me in the first few sentences. It was interesting, moving, and sometimes so hilarious at how she described some events I was actually laughing out loud while my cat stared at me in bewilderment. Great read and thank you for sharing your story.
