Known for making up his own rules of right and wrong, Texas Ranger Sam "Wildcard" MacGregor takes what he wants when he wants it, especially when it comes to women. But seduction is the last thing on his mind the moment he stumbles across an Hispanic beauty crouching in fear beside a burned-out wagon.

    Overall

I think this book would have probably been good if the narrator didn't drag so much. If he was trying to have a southern drawl it didn't work. He sounds more like he is narrating this right out of bed in the morning as soon as he woke up with no energy or morning coffee.(His other characters sounded better than his Sam one).
I found myself skipping through the story just so that it could be overwith. ( I wanted to get some of my monies worth. I probaly gipped myself out of hearing a great story, but it was either that or fall asleep at the wheel since I listen to my stories on my 2.5 hour commute both ways,so that I can kill some of the commute time listening to a good book. I will defenitley make sure not to get this narrator again.

The ache of past loss reminds Kenny why he needs to avoid getting too close to anyone. Especially to a gorgeous redhead and her adorable little girl. Mess it up, and he'd lose them both. Yet Kenny can only resist Bailey for so long. And as festive spirit spreads throughout the town, he's all wrapped up in Bailey's sweet, sexy kisses and determined to make this the first of many Christmases together.

I am so not HAPPY with Susan Mallery. I have been waiting for this story. After being annoyed with Larrisa and Jack's story I just knew we would get an awesome story for Kenny and Bailey. DON'T hold your breath, you WILL be disappointed. If you are a Fools Gold fan you will not be happy with this meager book. I thought ok its only 3 hours but its possible.NO... It was so short there was not enough back story for them and they never made love. What was the point?? I would have rather she waited and gave us an awesome story, instead we wind up getting scraps.
I do sincerely hope they get better because these last two didn't do it for me and I am starting to loose hope.
I will say I liked this waaaayyyy better than Until We Touch;I hated that book so much I returned it. I am off to my next reading adventure paradise. Happy Reading!

New York Times best-selling author Nalini Singh delivers a smoldering story with Secrets at Midnight, as the scent of Bastien Smith's elusive lover ignites a possessiveness in him that's as feral as it is ecstatic. And now that he's found his mate, he'll do anything to keep her.

I loved ALL the stories. The only one I HATED and will never read a book from that author was the one about the leprechauns. I was so confused and lost. I only continued to listen to it so I would know where the next story began. You'll like them except that one, but totally worth it.

I Liked it! I read the reviews and was thoughtful as I was listening to the book, wondering if I was going to get to the a point of not liking it. It never came. Please, please don't go off the reviews. Use them yes, but don't base your entire opinion on them. This book was actually not bad, and trust me I would not lie if a book sucks it sucks. This is the first book in a series so you have to try it and see if YOU like it. I did, and as for it not having an ending, it ended just fine. So I'm saying it was a good read, Trish McCallan was a new author for me. I tried it because it was on sale and I am so glad I did. Lots of times this is how I find those great authors that I never would have tried such as; Maya Banks, Lara Adrian, Nalini Sighn JD Robb..to name a few, they are AWESOME.
The only thing I will say negative Beth was a little annoying when it came to the ESP stuff with Zane, that's the only reason is gave it a 4.
Other than that the plot was clear and the "HOT scenes" was fine (hey there wasn't a whole lot of it... but I was OK with it, I didn't miss it).

I love Angela Dawe the narrator, that was another reason I bought the book. So try it see if YOU like it.
HAPPY READING! I've already started on book 2!

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

If you are on the fence jump off and take the plunge. I thought because it's so long it would get long winded but no I didn't want it to end. The story is crazy the narrators are good as well. I love all Susan Mallery books except maybe 2 and I think this is 2. The story was sweet I wish I would have just read it. Oh man the narrator is dull, dry and boring and her voice is annoying. I will steer clear from any other books she narrates. I'm requesting a refund I just can't deal with listening. I'll use my refund money and buy the book. Happy Reading!!!

I love Susan Mallorys stories, I don't know what happend, maybe a kid wrote this book but my goodness is was sooo boring and predictable. Larisa has been the most annoying character to date. She clings to a man who doesn't want her. The pinning, medling, and clinginess was so irratating I had to skip most of the story. The only part of the story that engaged me was Percy. Gosh such a waste of time. Totally missed the mark with this one Susan. Tanya is ok and tolerable but Jack with his self recrimination and Larisa with her annoying, I love him and it's ok if he doesn't love me attitude I was like alright already.ugh make it right with Kenny, and Bailey pleeeessse. Happy reading.

From #1 New York Times-best-selling author Nora Roberts comes a novel of a woman who needs nothing, a man who sees everything, and the web of deceit, greed, and danger that brings them together - and that could tear them apart… As a professional house-sitter and freelance writer, nothing ties Lila Emerson down - not her work, not a home, and definitely not a relationship. She spends her life moving from one job to the next, sometimes crashing at a friend 's Manhattan apartment. And though she can appreciate her clients ' extraordinary homes, their expensive collections, and their adorable pets, Lila has never longed for possessions of her own. Everything she has, including her heart, is portable.

Long but worth it. The narrator was new for me but I will for sure look for other books with her as a narrator. Happy reading!

I have been in lone with Beverly's historical romances since I received my first book in 2010 which was Topaz. I love Thomas Penny as the narrator. The only reason he didn't get 5 stars is because he should learn where the accent goes over the Spanish words other than that it would be a five. The story is so touching and no matter her background she wins him over. I read the book and as soon as the audible version came out I listen to it all over again. Can't wait for the third story. Her face has graced countless magazines and her body has sold millions of dollars of clothing. But her fame and beauty has earned her more than she ever imagined. Evil is stalking her, determined to extinguish the ethereal beauty forever.

Maya what's going on??? First I will say the cover is horrible. All the other KGI covers have what I can attribute to the KGI men this made Swanny look like a stalker. Ok so don't judge a book by its cover and all that. Well the story is sooo boring I had to keep checking to make sure I had ordered a KGI book. I wanted better for Swannys story he deserved a more in depth story after all he went through with Nathan. Instead we get the first chapters of people we don't know and the last of Swanny worrying about his scar and ind saying he's not good enough. I was even wondering if Eden was playing him. The story had no real substance. I love Maya's books but you lost me a little on this one. Bring back the true KGI stories and please don't let Joes story ramble on and on about people we don't know. Ok so I will say that I'm glad Swanny has Eden and the ending was good except I've never had to wait for the ending for it to be good before. If you're like me and you don't give up on your author you will find something good somewhere in this book. I'm sorry KGI lovers but it was ok... Oh and let's talk about the narrator. HE IS HORRIBLE. Please bring back the Harry Berkly or find a man with a stronger voice, this Adam Paul is killing the stories and you don't need anymore help with this book. I'm not giving up on Maya's KGI series but please don't let me down again. Happy reading.

Part one of this series is great and Phil Giganti was an awesome narrator for part one. I have no understanding why they would switch the narrator with one that is just so bad. In book one Phil Giganti gave Leila a New York accent in this book you can't tell the difference between the women and who are the men. I am just trying to get through because the story really is good and I'm looking forward to book 3. Unless you get these stories at a lower rate like I did you are better off reading book don't waste your credit. The story is really interesting Nora Roberts really is a great author. I'm a JD Robb fan and these stories don't disappoint. Happy Reading!
