The stories and the audible presentation of these books is very good.
However be warned that this series just stops. For whatever reason you get pulled in, only to be crashed into a brick wall of “sorry no more audible books”. The Audible series ends but the books continue. This is not very fair if you don’t have the time to visually read the books. Sorry audible fans this is a dead end.

The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some 400 light-years in diameter, contains more than 600 worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over 1,000 light-years away, a star...vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears.

I like the story, I like the narration.
However, the book just stops leaving you literally on the edge of an abyss.
The next book Judas Unchained picks up the story without any background or setup.
You cant read Judas Unchained without Pandora Star, in a normal series there is some rehash this has nothing.
It???s like the giant novel was cut in half with little regard for the reader.
I???m still reading Judas Unchained (the second half) but I hope it ends at a point that makes some sense.

The U.S. Speaker of the House is assassinated in a terrifyingly precise execution in the heart of Washington, D.C. In a quieter corner of the nation's capital, the rare book room of the Library of Congress, a reclusive, wealthy scholar drops dead under mysterious circumstances that leave no clues. Following on the heels of the natural death of the Speaker of the House, the city and the nation begin to tremble.

It may be what the book said but to hear a male actor say a line followed by a different male actor say "he said" followed by a female actor saying a line. Then a male actor saying "she said".
This radio play narration with an added narrator is enough to drive you insane!
I???ve never heard an audio book done so poorly! The book may or may not be any good but the narration is the WORST!

In 1989 Ken Follett astonished the literary world with The Pillars of the Earth, set in 12th-century England. Readers and listeners ever since have hoped for a sequel. At last, here it is. Although the two novels may be listened to in any order, World Without End also takes place in Kingsbridge, two centuries after the townspeople finished building their exquisite Gothic cathedral. The cathedral is again at the center of a web of love and hate, greed and pride, ambition and revenge.

Not part of a real series; more like a bad copy of the original. The names have changed and so has the date, but everything else is the same. If you read Pillars, you're going to find this to be like bad retelling of the same story, or like a made for TV version of the original. Nothing really new in the book.
