Take one bored princess. Make her the seventh daughter in a very proper royal family. Have her run away. Add one powerful, fascinating, dangerous dragon. Princess Cimerone has never met anyone (or anything) like the dragon Kazul. But then, she's never met a witch, a jinn, a death-dealing talking bird or a stone prince either. Princess Cimerone ran away to find some excitement. She's found plenty.

Richard says: "Great fun for girls or boys"
    "Great for kids and adults!"

This book (and the second one so far) has been a delight to listen to for both our kids and us. There's humor for all ages and the cast that performs all the various characters is great. It's great to find a series with a strong female lead.

Honor Harrington has survived ship-to-ship combat, assassins, political vendettas, and duels. But this time, Honor and her crew, ambushed and captured, are aboard an enemy ship, bound for a prison planet aptly named "Hell" - and her scheduled execution. Yet the one lesson Honor has never learned is how to give up. She and her people are going home--even if it means conquering hell to get there!

I really enjoy this series, and Allyson Johnson does a great job narrating. I have to say that this book is way too long. The first 8 or so chapters probably could have been reduced to about 2. Sometimes, while listening, there would be so much internal dialog that I'd forget what was happening. The ending was good and I'm going to start the next book in the series.
