What is memorable to me from reading this book is that this horrible "tradition" is at all acceptable. It is a tragedy.
Im glad this book is a choice for elementary students to read. We all need to be educated on this very important subject and try to make changes.
Just plain awful in story, narration and vocabulary. REALLY had to make myself finish it and it tortured me all the way through.
Didn't enjoy the flipping back and forth between characters and their stories between chapters, but I'm sure that is part of the art of this story.
The narration was very drone like and tedious to listen too. I won't be finishing the book. I think if you grew up in some States and that era (I'm Canada) and new a lot about art and literature it would be interesting. A lot of name dropping and I didn't know most of them.
I was very excite to see this addition to this Colin Cotterill collection. It was not a disappointment. Subtle and not so subtle humour as usual.
This novel was so awesome and rich in its tales and descriptions. The narrator did a tremendous performance. Never boring, not for even one scond.
The characters and their humorous personalities and quirks and how they interact
Love the voice.
Read all his books in this series and wish there were more.
