To most, they are animals—even when in human form. They are to be collared and kept on the fringes of society, scorned because they are feared, hated for their extraordinary powers. And attorney Kim Fraser has to go right into the heart of their lair. It’s her job to defend those in need. But there’s absolutely nothing defenseless about Liam Morrissey. His soft Irish lilt and feline grace can’t disguise his sheer strength.

This seems like a pale version of the changeling series written by Nalini Singh, both the story and the narrators. I only listened to the first book in this series, and sampled the rest, but just not interested.

I wasn't sure I would like this, but took a chance on it. I was continually surprised by the twists and turns in the story, and I enjoyed the character internation. Pretty good narration. Definitely worth a credit for a first in the series.

The story was good, but it takes too long to tell it. Lots of boring spots. Narrator is pretty good. I'm not sure it was worth the credit.

Raised in the Dorset countryside, Lady Charlotte Wylder doesn’t care one bit about well-bred decorum. The dark-haired, blue-eyed beauty would rather ride a horse than attend a stuffy ball. So when Charlotte learns that she is to leave immediately for London to wed the Duke of Marchbourne, a perfect model of aristocratic propriety, she is less than enchanted with her arranged marriage.

I haven't even finished the story. It seems really simple so far, but the narration does not differentiate between characters and situations - little emotional difference. This makes the story seem boring. I don't think it's worth the credit.

Frances Hadley has managed her family's estate for years. So why can't she request her own dowry? She'll have to go to London herself and knock some sense into the men interfering in her life. With the nonsense she's dealt with lately, though, there's no way she's going as a woman. A pair of breeches and a quick chop of her red curls, and she'll have much less to worry about....

She particularly enjoys studying the fossils and formations in the magnificent cave near her father’s house. The cave seems plenty safe—until the day a mysterious intruder steals the rope she uses to climb out. Rafe Kincaid is a man used to being in control—of himself, his brothers, and his family’s ranch.

I would recommend you actually read the story rather than listen to it. It's a childishly written and expressed romance of the old west. Way too much repeating of individuals thoughts and feelings. It's good for a 12 year old!

It's worth the credit for this listen. Although the narrator isn't good with the voices for each character. it's not distracting from the story. With twists and turns, the story winds around a good tale.

Molly had dared to turn a cold shoulder on London's prize catch. She was a precocious American upstart who thought beauty, brains, and bravery were enough to conquer London society. Well, he'd show her! Nobody publicly (or privately!) spurned Lord David Manley, the most eligible bachelor in town. He was determined that soon she'd be trembling in his arms, desperately in love with the man she had dared to mock. David Manley always got his way, and Miss Molly Maguire presented a challenge he couldn't resist!

If you like historical romances, you'll like this book. But the scene where two lords are reviewing a romance novel to see what the heroine likes is the best part of the story and will have you continuously laughing out loud! While Emma Powell does not do male voices all that well, her timing and tone are impeccable. Well done ladies!

Commanded into marriage by the king, Myles Campbell is no more willing than his reluctant bride. Still, she is a rare beauty, passionate enough to warm even the coldest marriage bed.

I enjoy this highland romance. The characters were strong and the story exciting. However, Sarah Coombs put too much stress on too much of the narration. While the accents were good, there was no time to relax because stress was put on most of the narration. It's still worth your credit, but the narration can be irritating. I kept having to take a deep breath to relax my muscles!

Wild Invitation is an exciting collection of Psy/Changeling stories from New York Times best-selling author Nalini Singh. In "Beat of Temptation", innocent Tamsyn has always had a place in her heart for Nathan, a blooded DarkRiver sentinel. But is she ready for the fierce demands of the mating bond? In "Stroke of Enticement", a wary young teacher, skeptical about love, arouses the man - and the animal - in an aggressive leopard changeling who must prove his affections are true.
