"Excellent!"
MUST listen to Silent in the Grave first. I've loved both of these and look forward to listening to the next one.
"Glad it was just a sample"
I loved the concept, but did not find the point-of-view character engaging.
I didn't like anyone much in the early going. Why, then, would I want to go on their journey?
"Builds on Excellent Book One"
I'm hooked on this series and strongly recommend it. I read this in hardcopy, but am still thoroughly enjoying the audio version
This is part of a series, so read Book One first. All of the series (almost 40 books) are similar to one another, but still unique.
I like the reader, but found myself a little taken aback at first. This could be because I'd previously read the books in hardcopy, so already had my own concepts of the voices. After a chapter or so, however, I got used to her interpretation and enjoyed it.
The first three books in the series are crucial to setting up the Eve-Roarke relationship that is the backdrop of the mysteries. Read these first. I prefer the series in order, but after the first three, you can skip around without an issue.
"Finally read it!"
The performance was excellent and kept me riveted
Insight into a world I've never known, showing the flaws but also the courage of the characters.
How the characters sound.
Heartwarming. You were rooting for Cele and Nettie throughout.
I finally
"Each Book Gets Better!"
Like returning home.
The other books in the Louise Penny series. Same location and many of the same characters -- always distinct and interesting.
Gamache.
It's a long book, so needs to be done in bits until you're on a long trip. It definitely kept your interest.
LOVE this series! Can't wait to read the next one.
"Charming story for kids (and this adult!)"
Funny, quirky, intelligent
The cleverness of the Wizard Lizard, self-interest tempered by kindness.
My first listen.
It's short and keeps your interest -- you won't be able to stop until you finish it!
Excellent on all fronts!
