Workaholic attorney Samantha Sweeting has just done the unthinkable. She's made a mistake so huge, it'll wreck any chance of a partnership.

I could really relate with this character and to step away from the rat race is something that makes me long for at times. I not only really liked this book but could imagine myself in her shoes. This book was wonderfully written and well narrated. Other reviewers are correct in that it's probably better on audiobook because you get the English accent.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Seabiscuit was a runaway success, and Hillenbrand’s done it again with another true-life account about beating unbelievable odds. On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared.....

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read it because someone mentioned that it was a good read for those that enjoyed Twilight. I agree. I was not ready for the book to end, it grabbed me from the first chapter all the way until the end and kept me wanting more.

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

I have now read the entire series and am so sad it's all over. I truly enjoyed the characters and the story. Stephenie Meyer is amazingly talented and Ilyana Kadushin does a great job of narration.
