I enjoy stories about strong women that take place in England in the 1800s. Sally Lockhart is this type of person. There is lots of action, quirky characters, and some twists to the plot. I would defiantly recommend this as a good listen.
Skeeve and Aahz compete against each other for president of Myth Inc. In the end there is a surprise twist when the president of Myth Inc. is announced. It was nice having the main characters back together along with a new cast. The narrator did another amazing of job of keeping the story moving along. There is never a dull moment when Skeeve and his crew have a goal in sight.
Aahz and Tanada lead the cast of characters in this book. It still has humor and witty dialogue, but there are several talking inanimate objects. I am not really a fan of animating many objects because I find it hard keeping all of them separate in my mind, especially when the names are unusual. Aahz is still his irascible self, but his noble side also shines through. I am hoping that Myth Inc. will get back together. It would be nice to have a story with the main characters together again. The narrator did a great job as usual.
Skeeve reluctantly takes on six apprentices. Skeeve continues to have integrity, and he tries to instill this in his students. Of course class does not always go smoothly, and they get into one humorous predicament after another. The six apprentices learn to work together, and this proves to be their greatest newly acquired skill. The narrator is spot on once again.
Aahz, Massha, and Chumley, along with a new assortment of characters, save Skeeve’s good name when mall rats steal Skeeve’s identity. There is a humorous inference that compares a credit card to the ring from JRR Tolkien’s books. The narrator did another amazing job of bringing all of the characters to life. Thanks for another fun adventure.
I was really pleased to learn that Audible had added the MYTH books by Robert Asprin. I first read this book about twelve years ago, and I really enjoyed it then. Recently I enjoyed hearing the narrator bring these fun characters to life. I love that Skeeve is sweet and seems to bumble his way into success. I also found the irascible Aahz entertaining. I recommend this book to anyone who needs a lighthearted diversion.
Skeeve, Bunny, Tanada, and a new character called Zol Icty all work together to help the shy people called Wuhses. I like that Skeeve is always looking out for the underdog. His character has integrity. He might not always make the right choices, but his heart is always in the right place. The narrator did another great job of bringing all of the characters to life. This was another fun read in the Myth series.
The narrator of this series does another outstanding job. The many different accents he gives each character really adds to the humor and fun tone of the book. This book gives more insights to book 10: Sweet Myth-tery of Life. Some of the conversations are the same in both books, but are being told from a different character’s point of view. Also the wedding of Masha and Hugh Badaxe is included. Gleep, the dragon, develops more abilities and adds nicely to the motley crew. Another fun adventure with Myth Inc. I am looking forward to the next escapade.
Another wacky adventure with Skeeve and Aahz. Dimension hopping, encounters with a sneaky shape shifter, cows, and vampires are all part of their dilemma. Robert Asprin has a fun sense of humor.
Skeeve is a sweet bumbling leader who has no idea how important he is. It is fun following the misadventures of Skeeve and his entourage.
Molly Murphy has many difficulties to overcome, and she works her way through each problem. Molly is not a helpless female. I love the spunky character Rhys Bowen has created, and the narrator brings Molly to life with a lilting Irish accent. I have enjoyed Rhys Bowen's Royal Spyness series, and now I am looking forward to more adventures with Molly too.
