"I'm glad I found Mr. Martin's epic."
I am a mailcarrier and was getting burned out on listening to talk radio during my workday and decided to get an Ipod for a change.I really enjoy it and thought I might try an audiobook and had a hard time deciding until I saw "A Game of Thrones". A few months back I had read a review of "A Feast for Crows" (Book four in the Song of Fire and Ice series) and the author, George R.R. Martin and was intrigued but have found little time to read so I filed the "Song of Ice and Fire" series on my long "have to eventually read" list.
Now that I have listened to this book I am hooked hard! The descriptive prose GRRM uses is so gripping that you can literally see all the blood and grime and the chapters written from the perspective of one character at a time is great since you really get in touch with the people in the Land of the Seven Kingdoms.
My favorite character, Tyrion Lannister, is one of the best I have ever encountered in any novel.
This is a must for lovers of good storytelling.
