"Entertaining"
Entertaining, not as enjoyable as the Amelia Peabody series but still a enjoyable light listen.
"Enjoyable"
enjoyable listen, not overly surprising plot.
"Good and reliable fun"
as a fan of the Stephanie Plum numbered series I find these little excursions with the same base characters highly enjoyable, the narrator does a fine job and as expected of Janet Evanovich it's a fun lite listen.
"Quite funny...little twisted"
This was the first title I've listened to/read by this author and I found it quite enjoyable. It is darkly funny and not for the squemish. I can't look at my Ikea catalog with out laughing now.
"Engaging, good read"
Barbara Rosenblat has once again brought the character of Anna Pigeon to life. The plot, location and characters are very enjoyable. This is one of my favorites from the series.
"Nice addition to series..."
I would definite recommend reading this series in order, 1st to Die, 2nd Chance, 3rd Degree then this one. And luckily Audible has them all. This is a nice addition to the series and kept my interest throughout. I enjoyed the narrator as well. Listened to them with friends on a car trip to Oklahoma....time sped by.
"Very good..."
This is the first book I've read by Stuart Woods, and it was very good. I enjoyed the narrator tremendously. The story kept a good pace and I did not find any fault in the characterizations. I'd recommend this book. I just wish Audible had more UNABRIDGED books by him as I stay away from Abridged.
"Another great Emerson-Peabody adventure"
This is one of my favorite so far of the Amelia Peabody series and a great listen. Barbara Rosenblat is an excellent narrator.
"3 stars for author, 0 for narrator"
I listened to "Crocodile on the Sandbank" narrated by Ms O'Malley and barely made it through, I found the narration extremely tedious and bland. I switched narrators to Ms Rosenblat and was immediately enchanted with books 2, 3, 4 & 5. I am disappointed that this sixth book in the series is not available from audible with Ms Rosenblat's narration, as I have had to endure a rather bland rendition to continue the series.
"Barbara Rosenblat rules!!"
I adore Ms Rosenblat's narration and characterizations. I made the error of purchasing the first Amelia Peabody book narrated by Ms O'Malley and boy is there a difference. Ms Rosenblat's narration is hands down the best!!
