"Masterful performance"
Wow, what an amazing production!
I'm blown away by the quality and the performance that Marc Thompson has done.

Overall engaging story and solid performance from Steven Pacey.
It was not the best book I've heard or read but for what it was, it was very interesting and fun to listen to.

I am stunned by how positive the reviews are for this audiobook. I enjoyed reading Robin Hobb's assassin series so I figured this would be equally enjoyable.
I understand that Anne Flosnik is an award winning performer but I felt her voice was too strained and that at times it was difficult to get over words that she dragged out unnaturally. Overall, her voice was unpleasantly matched to the characters in this book.
I'm not sure whether it was Anne's voice or the lack of anything interesting in the story line that preventing me from finishing this audio book but either way, I wouldn't recommend it.

Steven Pacey spoiled me with a masterful performance. Every other audio book does not come close to how well done this one was. Oh, I think I should probably mention that this was a "hot action" and exciting book that was very enjoyable. My favorite book of the series.

After reading all of the positive reviews about the book, I decided to give it a try. I must say there were some good points in the book and was decently written but overall the story progressed very slowly and without very good direction.
In a way it was a book just hyping up the main character without any real action or significance to how great of a protagonist he is.
In my opinion, Rothfuss is a good writer but it would have been a much better book if it didn't seem to drag so much.
