She's smart, beautiful, and she doesn't need a man to look after her. But sports agent Myron Bolitar has come into her life, big time. Now Myron's next move may be his last. Brenda Slaughter is no damsel in distress. Myron Bolitar is no bodyguard. But Myron has agreed to protect the bright, strong, beautiful basketball star. And he's about to find out if he's man enough to unravel the tragic riddle of her life.

Ted says: "So Far The BEST in this Wonderful Series!"
    "a great series"
    Overall

If you just like to read for the enjoyment and don't care too much about the plot, this is the right series. I would compare them to the Janet Evanovich's
books. Myron Bolitar is quick witted and fun to spend time with.

Myron never saw it coming. A surprise visit from an ex-girlfriend is unsettling enough. But Emily Downing's news brings him to his knees. Her son Jeremy is dying and needs a bone-marrow transplant, from a donor who vanished without a trace. Then comes the real shock: the boy is Myron's son, conceived the night before her wedding to another man.

Richard Delman says: "Myron Bolitar retires. Harlan Coben moves on."
"I hope that there will be others"
    Overall

I have read all the Myron Bolitar series and I can't find another to compare. I enjoy the wit and high jinx of the two. the plots are second

Myron Bolitar, sports agent and reluctant sleuth, is happily basking in the Caribbean sun with a beautiful woman he hardly knows. Interrupting this bliss, Win, his loyal but morally questionable sidekick, arrives to tell him that Esperanza, Myron's best friend and partner at MB SportsReps, has been arrested for the murder of a fallen baseball star and Bolitar client.

    Lia says: "Great book"
    "you gotta like this guy"
    Overall

Myron and his side-kick are witty and fun to spend time with. Don't take them so seriously. Just enjoy.

Hollywood's newest wunderkind is Peter Alan Nelson, the brilliant, erratic director known as the King of Adventure. His films make billions, but his manners make enemies. What the boy king wants, he gets, and what Nelson wants is for Elvis Cole to comb the country for the airhead wife and infant child the film-school flunkout dumped en route to becoming the third biggest filmmaker in America.

    K. Shaw says: "A great Elvis and Joe Pike read"
    "unteresting characters"
    Overall

I had read a couple of books in this series and thought that I would stick with it, but this one is dull and tedious with characters that you can't care about. I will have to look elsewhere. I highly recommend the Harlan Coben series with Myron Bolitar for a smart, witty detective.
