It was a great listen! So different & entertaining, didn't want it to end.
Not up to par with Lauren Oliver's other books. The story was boring until the final chapter which had a twist but didn't make up for the lack of story to that point. I'm a huge fan of the Delerium series and highly recommend all 3 of those books but wouldn't waste a credit on this one.
Started well with potential for a great story & I really liked the premise but about 1/3 way in it took a dive. The main character acts like she has been married to the guy for 10 yrs instead of 10 minutes & becomes whiny beyond belief. It was so unrealistic (I know it is fiction & realism is not a priority) that I began getting angry listening to the ridiculous dialogue. No one would act/think/or talk the way this character does so I couldn't even finish it. I have listened to about 200 books & this is the first I haven't finished. Such a waste of a credit.
Michael Connelly yes Burt Reynolds NO!!
not audio book, but to read yes
He mumbled & was difficult to understand. Stressful listening.
Michael Connelly is my favorite, have read/listened to all his books & am starting The Drop. Burt Reynolds was painful to listen to & spoiled the story, but all the other narrators have been great.
