  • Welcome to the Jungle: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Bipolar but Were Too Freaked Out to Ask

Bipolar is one of the most commonly diagnosed emotional/psychiatric condition and diagnosis tends to come when one is in one's late teens or early 20s. And yet almost nothing has been written about it from eye level and a young person's perspective. Welcome to the Jungle fills that gap with its upfront, empowering approach to the challenges of being diagnosed bipolar. Both humorous and immensely honest, it offers a true "in the trenches" perspective young listeners will trust.

Elise says: "Perfect look at Bipolar- with a bunch of FUNNY!"
    "Best practical advice ever"

If you could sum up Welcome to the Jungle in three words, what would they be?

    Jungle is real.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Welcome to the Jungle?

It finally gave me a name for what I was feeling with a mixed state.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to listen to it in one sitting and even listened to it while walking to the mailbox.

    Any additional comments?

This was the best book on bipolar that I've ever even heard of.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Got 40 hours to kill? You’ll find the time when you start listening to Lee’s take on Follett’s epic – and widely celebrated – novel of 12th-century England. The Pillars of the Earth tells the story of Philip, prior of Kingsbridge, a devout and resourceful monk driven to build the greatest Gothic cathedral the world has known...of Tom, the mason who becomes his architect - a man divided in his soul...and of the beautiful, elusive Lady Aliena, haunted by a secret shame....

Joseph says: "Good historical setting, but loose story."
    "Unexpected delight"

What did you love best about The Pillars of the Earth?

The real characters and wonderful narration made this book worth listening too.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Eliena was an inspiring character with her strength and real compassion.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I would love to tell you my favorite scene, but I don't want to give the story away.

    Any additional comments?

I admit to stopping listening to this book several times over in favor of other books, but I kept returning to it. The last ten hours are so I had to sit and listen every moment I could.
