The case studies and examples cited by Gladwell are fascinating in and among themselves. When combined with Gladwell's narration and the conclusions presented, they become part of a great book with lessons that can be applied every day.

There are countless events, from the mundane to the extreme, for which the causes can be hard to determine. The Tipping Point gives some compelling arguments and ways at which to look at situation to better understand how the right "little" factors can be the cause of something big -- sometimes very counter-intuitively.

Great listen -- highly recommended!

Once again, great narration. Pleasing finalle to the series, though the end drags out a bit too far (which seems ironic given how abruptly the first two books seemed to end). If you enjoyed Hunger Games and Catching Fire, you won't be able to resist this one, either.

I originally listened to Hunger Games just to learn why if was so popular, and did not intend to listen to the other stories in the series. Before I was finished with Hunger Games, though, I knew I had to hear them all.

Collins does a good of cranking up the action for the sequel without feeling like just a juiced-up rewrite of the first book. Catching Fire definitely does not stand on it's own, though, and seems abruptly cut off at the end (maybe if you consider it like paying two credits for a single book you can just have Mocking Jay ready to play and pretend like it was just a break in the files).

McCormick again does a great job with the narration.

A surprisingly captivating novel, that leaves you demanding the next book right away -- it seems clear that the three books in this trilogy were conceived as a single story. Top-notch narration, with character and feeling contributes well to the enjoyment of the book.

The story is very enjoyable despite being targeted at a young-adult audience. I am reminded of Ender's Game in the way the story engages the listener (though it is not quite on par in terms of originality or depth). Listen for the pleasure of it and you won't be disappointed.

Though it is targeted at young adults, it can be vicious and gruesome in a very adult way, and may be too much for younger readers. Probably a bit too intense and graphic for readers younger than 13, and a bit older may be more appropriate.

Terrific book and superb narration! Ms. Clarke's language and imagery make this book a joy to listen to regardless of the story itself (which is itself a joy). Realistic characters in a fantastical (yet familiar) world bring this alternative history to life. And the story is classic in a very Dickensian sense.

Mr. Prebble's narration compliments Ms. Clarke's prose wonderfully. His portrayal of characters and accents, along with a very propper voice of the narrator could not be better matched for the story. My only note is that it plays better at 2x speed (I found normal speed a bit too slow).
