I loved hearing this from Rielle's perspective. This whole drama was not her fault, she was simply looking for love (like everyone), I do believe they love each other very much.
A memorable moment would be the description of the massive fights between Elizabeth and John (I would be running away also if I were him)
Their initial attraction to each other.
All of it.
This documents a past we should never ever forget and Miranda does an excellent job making readers feel like they are right there with her through every conversation she has with her grandparents. Nicely written and brilliantly narrated.
I found this book to be relaxing and inspirational and it makes me want to do the same thing! I have friends who have hiked this trail as through hikers and it was the first time I heard about these trail names, and the AT community. I felt like the author was like my friends, down to earth, honest about his concerns as well as his appreciations, and entertaining to listen to.
I like the book overall because it describes what the victims of the illness can do to help themselves.
The chapters describing all the different meds kind of bored me even though i agree with the need for them.
Overall, excellent book.
