I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS ABOUT. I FINISHED BOOK 1 AND HATED THE BOOK. I HAD READ "WHITE TEETH" BY ZADIE SMITH AND LOVED IT. THATS WHY I ORDERED THIS BOOK. BIG MISTAKE. MAYBE YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK AND NOT LISTEN TO.
The author was too sexually explicit and had no resemblance to real life.
It reminds me of "1000 Little Pieces" and we know what happened with that book.
NOTHING. I AM A BIG READER IN FACT I AVERAGE A BOOK A DAY AS I AM RETIRED AND I FOUND THIS BOOK RATHER BORING. ALL OF THE CHARACTERS, BAR NONE WERE DISFUNTIONAL. I KEPT LISTENING HOPING IT WOULD GET BETTER, BUT IT DID NOT.
IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT. I DON'T THINK ANY NARRATOR WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. I USALLY ENJOY MOST BOOKS ABOUT THE SOUTH.
NO1! ONLY BORED ME
THINK I SAID ENOUGH NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT THIS BOOK.
THE BOOK COULD HAVE USED AHEMINGWAY TOUCH
THE READER WAS NOT CONVINCING IN THE W0MEN'S PARTS AND NOT TOO GOOD AT VARIOUS VOICES FOR EACH CHARACTER.
THE THE TWO MOVIES DID A POOR JOB OF STRESSING THE ROLE CATHOLOSIM PLAYED.. IN FACT THE LATEST PICTURE TURNED AN AHETIST INTO A PRIEST. QUITE A STRETCH
