    Stossel's direct way of speaking is a breath of fresh air.

    His discussion of how seemingly plausible ideas fall to pieces when implemented by a central government.

    Who was your favorite character and why?

    I found Earl Harbinger to be the most interesting character in the story. There is a history to this man that you will discover if you continue through the series.


    What does Oliver Wyman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Wyman's reading style lets you close your eyes and see the action in the book. He is very good at carrying through the personalities of different characters and keeping them separate.

    An excellent and entertaining book. Something to sit back and listen to with a bowl of popcorn.

    Any friend who is looking for a just plain fun story will love this.


    Who was your favorite character and why?

    Athena. Her voyage of self-discovery that moves through the story is compelling.


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Absolutely. It drove me nuts to have to pause the IPOD in order to go to work, but I had to go to work to buy more audiobooks

    Dakin's reading is excellent. Just enough emotion carries through without trying to out-perform the story.

    This story is far too incomplete. I expected a better, more detailed story from David Weber, but this one has a pivotal character in the tale coming in late with almost no background information or personality. I am very disappointed.
