It used to be that to diagnose an illness, interpret legal documents, analyze foreign policy, or write a newspaper article you needed a human being with specific skills - and maybe an advanced degree or two. These days, high-level tasks are increasingly being handled by algorithms that can do precise work not only with speed but also with nuance. These "bots" started with human programming and logic, but now their reach extends beyond what their creators ever expected.

The World is changing much faster than we are, Only some can see it and have taken advantage. The rest of us are falling hopelessly behind. Is there anything we can do? Tell friends and parents who "don't do computers" to get up and start running. The Cheese has moved!

I'm not a Fantasy fan, but I've loved Game of Thrones since I tried it because I heard it was good and was 5 stars. I really like it. But the choice of HOW to see it is another hard one---TV Series, read (kindle or physical book) or audiobook. Turns out ALL are excellent but I especially liked this audiobook because of the dozens of amazing voices and accents Roy Dotrice comes up with that seem to EXACTLY fit the characters. And he pulls it off flawlessly with excellent timing. If you've read the book or watched the show, you'll still enjoy it all over again with a different viewpoint if you listen to this audiobook adaptation.

Kevin Mitnick was the most elusive computer break-in artist in history. He accessed computers and networks at the world’s biggest companies—and however fast the authorities were, Mitnick was faster, sprinting through phone switches, computer systems, and cellular networks. He spent years skipping through cyberspace, always three steps ahead and labeled unstoppable.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Wonderful story and excellent readers, really acted the parts with excellent accents, etc. Easy to "see" the characters. I'll probably be disappointed by the movie. This is a must.

In a time long forgotten, a preternatural event threw the seasons off balance. In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is brewing. As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.
