I read hundreds of books, including listening to several a week. Well narrated, excellent writing is Such a Joy and all too rare! I hope the quality of this series continues, even as the quantity increases. Patrica Briggs' books are credits well spent.

Adam, Ethan, and Ryan aren't looking for women. They're looking for a woman. One woman they know will share their lives and their beds. They're losing hope they'll find her, that is until Adam discovers Holly lying in the snow just yards from their cabin. Adam knows she's the one the minute he holds her in his arms, and as soon as his brothers see her, they know it too. The only problem is convincing Holly of that fact - and protecting her from the danger of her past.

Which character – as performed by Freddie Bates – was your favorite?

I was impressed with his ability to make 3 brothers near the same age distinguishable, by fitting voice to subtle personality difference! The female voices were much better than many male narrators can manage.

    Any additional comments?

if you're willing to ignore quite a few things about the premise, don't mind the MMMF, etc sex scenes, it is surprisingly enjoyable!

Nola Leary would have been content to stay in Kilcairy, Ireland, healing villagers at her family’s clinic with a mix of magic and modern medicine. But a series of ill-timed omens and a deathbed promise to her grandmother have sent her on a quest to Half-Moon Hollow, Kentucky, to secure her family’s magical potency for the next generation. Her supernatural task? To unearth four artifacts hidden by her grandfather before a rival magical family beats her to it. Complication One: The artifacts are lost somewhere in vampire Jane Jameson’s occult bookshop. Complication Two: Her new neighbor, Jed Trudeau, keeps turning up half-naked at the strangest times....

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

When I started listening to the book I wondered what happened to Amanda Ronconi's usual excellence because she had the main character using a bizarre sort of mild Irish, sort of Boston accent. A few chapters in you find out that her accent is exactly how the author describes it. Once I knew it was skill, not lack there of I found it less distracting and was able to really enjoy the story.

Half Moon Hollow is always fun!

Winner of the Quill Award and the Corine International Book Prize, Diana Gabaldon is the #1 New York Times best-selling author of the Outlander series. This fourth novel featuring popular character Lord John Grey is told both from Lord Grey’s perspective and from that of Jamie Fraser, the star of the Outlander series.

Young Fiona, rider of the gold queen Talenth, has returned from the past, where she and a group of dragons and riders fled so that the wounded could heal from their previous battles. Gone only three days, yet aged more than three years, Fiona is no longer a child but a woman prepared to fight against the Thread that threatens to destroy her world.

I love Pern and I have read all of the books. For the most part, I appreciate what Todd is doing to add to the canon of Anne McCaffrey's Pern; and the narrator here neither adds to nor detracts from the story. [Especially compared to the droning narration that makes so many of the audio versions of Anne's excellent books unlistenable.] Dragongirl, which had great potential, is an exercise in frustration. Every element of the story is belabored to death, rather than developed. There are random enjoyable bits, but mostly the characters keep waiting for an ominous something very bad to happen while everyone around them dies. The "something" finally seems to happens near the last few minutes of the book, but it's all rather vague. Their problems aren't resolved, most questions aren't answered, and the elements that seem to contradict Anne's books are left unexplained. There are hints about what's to come, but mostly it's a cliff hanger of the worst sort and left me unhappy with characters that I had become fond of in previous books.
