    • By Kerrelyn Sparks
    • Narrated By Aimee Castle

When a video reveals to the world that vampires live among us, it’s up to “young” vamp Gregori Holstein, VP of Marketing, to persuade the U.S. government to declare the video a hoax. But first the president wants a favor, one that requires Gregori to spend forty-eight hours in very close contact with the First Daughter. Abby Tucker would rather spend her nights in a lab than attend her father’s state dinners. She’s dedicated her life to finding a cure that will save her dying mother and needs only two more ingredients. To find them, she’ll have to venture into the most dangerous region of the world....

    Stephanie says: "LOVE THIS SERIES"
    "Good Story, Bad Narration"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because it is a good story and I love the "Love at Stake" series.

What other book might you compare Sexiest Vampire Alive to and why?

    Can't think of one

What didn’t you like about Aimee Castle’s performance?

She was unable to perform male characters. She made Angus McKay sound like a woman with a high voice. She did an OK job with Gregori's and Abby's voices. She was absolutely horrible with Roman's voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

  • Moon Dance: Blood Bound, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 7 mins)
    • By Amy Blankenship, R. K. Melton
    • Narrated By K. B. Stanford
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Envy's life was great. Great brother, great boyfriend, and the best job a girl could ask for... tending bar at the most popular clubs in the city. At least it was great until she got a call from one of her best friends about her boyfriend doing the vertical limbo on the dance floor at Moon Dance. Her decision to confront him begins a chain of events that will introduce her to a dangerous paranormal world hidden beneath the everyday humdrum.

Michelle says: "Droning narrator & bad audio, distracts from story"
"Terrible Narration, Horrible Music at Major Pauses"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A better narrator and leave out that terrible music. I hate that I purchased the book and am unable to listen to it.

What was most disappointing about Amy Blankenship and R. K. Melton ’s story?

I couldn't say. Becauase of the bad, boring, unprofessional narration and that horrid music at major pauses, I could not get into the story.

How could the performance have been better?

If someone else did the narriation like Hilary Huber or Tavia Gilbert

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

None. Could not get into the book because the narrator made it so boring.

    Any additional comments?

I was excited to start this series and planned to purchase all of the audiobooks. I am so glad I decided to try the first book before purchasing the others.

When Lord Arik, a druid knight, finds Rebeka Tyler wandering his lands without protection, he swears to keep her safe. But Rebeka can take care of herself. When Arik sees her clash with a group of attackers using a strange fighting style, he's intrigued. Rebeka is no ordinary 17th-century woman - she's travelled back from the year 2011, and she desperately wants to return to her own time. She poses as a scholar sent by the king to find out what's killing Arik's land - and finds herself drawn to the charismatic and powerful knight.

    JANET says: "Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
    "Good Story"
Would you listen to Knight of Runes again? Why?

No. Overall, I thought the story was good, the narrator was just OK. Reminded me of Brenda Joyce's Masters of Time series which is outstanding.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rebeka because she was a strong woman.

Did Montana Chase do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

At times, I could not tell which character she was doing because they sounded alike.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, this book did not make me cry. I laughed a time or two.

  • Primal Law: Alpha Pack Series #1

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 46 mins)
    • By J. D. Tyler
    • Narrated By Kirsten Potter
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

After a massacre decimates half his team and leaves him crippled, Jaxon Law must relearn how to fight-and battle the anger and guilt threatening to overwhelm him. But when he rescues a beautiful woman who awakens his primal instincts, Jax is unprepared for the dangers that lie ahead. On the run from her employer, brilliant lab assistant Kira Locke has evidence that leads the Alpha Pack on a hunt for someone targeting human civilians with Psy abilities.

    "Great New Series"
Would you listen to Primal Law again? Why?

Most likely. I enjoyed the book enough to listen again. Not all books are worthy of a second listen. Also, I thought Kristen Potter did a really good job with the narration.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Primal Law?

When Jaxon is hurt and very weak from not mating. It was so memorable because of Kira's reaction. It was extremely sad and I couldn't help but cry. Another memorable moment was when Jaxon and Kira released they love each other.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When ChurpChurp (?) was sleeping on Kira's stomach, Jaxon came across them. In that scene, he knew he loved her. Also liked how he became close to ChurpChurp.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, made be laugh and cry.

  • The Heat: Big Bad Wolf Series, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 35 mins)
    • By Heather Killough-Walden
    • Narrated By Gildart Jackson

In the debut to Heather Killough-Walden's Big Bad Wolf series, Lily St. Claire is in for a surprise when she moves back to her Louisiana hometown and finds two alpha werewolves fighting to claim her as their mate. Contains mature themes.

Robbie says: "Lots of Heat, Very Little Fire"
    "Bad Narrator"
What made the experience of listening to The Heat the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the story but had a hard time getting used to the narrator. He has an accent to begin with and couldn't really do a decent cajun accent. I found his narration very distracting. For this reason, I doubt I will purchase the second book in the series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Heat?

The story was actually enjoyable but the narration took away from the story. I cannot remember a memorable moment in story.

What aspect of Gildart Jackson’s performance would you have changed?

I would have changed to another narrator. His narration ruined the story.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I wouldn't make this book into a film.
