"Reacher stands tough"
I think I may listen to this again as this was my first Reacher book and I like the way Lee child writes this character. Reacher is very skilled at what he does and what he knows and I will be giving the whole series a listen to.
I think the ending could have been more force full but really it it didn't have to be.
Reacher, even tho all the others were done masterfully by Dick Hill. Reacher was a very good one.
No, not in this one. If I had to say anything it would be it was refreshing to see the main character be poor and not some high tech person with money. They show you he has know money but what he does have is a skill to help people he loves or cares about.
Reacher is worth your time as both Dick Hill gives him life and Lee Child gives him depth and a sense this is not just the same old tough guy story line but rather a nice change to a tough guy story line.
"Honor is what Tom Clancy does for story telling"
I highly recommend the entire Jack Ryan series to everyone and all of Tom Clancy's works
for that matter. In this story he shows what having debt and what economic conditions can due to the entire world and he makes it so real and so believable full of action and adventure as only the Mind of Tom Clancy can give.
To many moments to just pick one
at first I thought he sounded like a computer voice mail but that soon passed and I think he is one of the best story tellers to date. The way he does the characters and how he can hold you into the story is very good
with any great story teller if you don't feel something like this then it is not a good story or they a good teller and Tom Clancy is a master of his craft so this story makes you feel all sorts of things
Everyone that loves a great suspense, action drama and political thriller needs to listen and or read Debt of Honor.
"Action packed story from the master"
action,suspense,forceful
As always with a Tom Clancy book it's his pure style and the way he can drive a story with great characters and suspenseful action. Plus Mr. Clark in any of Clancy's book as he is unlike any other type of the normal tough guy.
He always does a masterful job, wish he did debt of honor
I could not stop this book, I just wanted to listen to it all at once but i broke it down over a weeks time. It is an amazing book
any Tom Clancy book would wonderful to listen to as his style is so thought out. This book to me is one of his best. There is nothing like rainbow and nothing like Mr Clark
"History of chocolate and so much more"
I have listened to this book more then any other book in my life. I am a chocolate lover and history buff and this book has so much to it and all told from and by a Cadbury. Deborah Cadbury did such an amazing job on this book. No only will it give you the history of chocolate from the start of cadbury it brings you right up to date to when cadury was sold to Kraft. So much history and such a well thought out book.
all of them as this is a history of the chocolate world and the industry so many of us love.
Yes, because unlike so many other audible books this one was written and is being told you by a Cadbury. Deborah also has an amazing voice and tells you not only her families history but her countries history from the start of the cocoa bean in the UK to the land of chocolate in Swiss and across the Pond to chocolate town and the from Chicago to NJ and the Mars family to the company that would take her families business away Kraft.
Chocolate wars history of an Industry
Even for some strange reason your not a chocolate lover but want to know some if the vast history of the UK or the Mars family or Milton Hershey or even Industry as a whole you will love this book. Plus Deborah has an amazing British Voice with such passion on this subject you will love this book. This is my go to book when I am in between things to listen to. Just love it
"Word of God given life in a modern time"
All the actors bringing the word of god to life in such a powerful and masterful way.
So many, I think I will pick Mosses as it was the first part that really helped bring the bible to life in this format for me
All the actors show how masterful they are at there craft as they bring such life to the word of God
It's the Bible and the word of god so it is to me very moving indeed
If you haven't read the bible you should give this a listen. If you have read the bible this will bring the story to life even more. Masters of the Craft like Jason Alexander , Joan Allen , Jim Caviezel , Richard Dreyfuss , Louis Gossett , Marcia Gay Harden , Stacy Keach , Malcolm McDowell , Gary Sinese , Marisa Tomei and so many more give life to the word of GOD . O can't recommend this enough.
"His Name is Tom Clancy for a reason"
I would say there both equally great. No matter which you rather your still getting Tom Clancy and the man is a true master of his craft. I would say The Audio version for me is very good. As the great Orson Wells once said about radio, I say can apply to Audio books. "Theater of the Mind" is what Audio books are for me, a great story teller can help bring a story from a story teller to life right to you as you hang on his or her words. This book is done beautifully.
I think you can Compare this to any of Tom Clancy's works. Tom's writing style is one of a kind and always has you on the edge of your seat.
I don't think I have but He does a great and amazing job. I would highly recommend J. Charles to anyone. Very well done, Thank you J.
Just made me want more. A wonderful Book and great story.
Tom Clancy and his Ryan series is one of these best if not the best series ever written. I recommend all of this series to anyone and everyone.
"Reacher at his best"
This Lee Child book of Jack Reacher is by far the best one I have listened to to date. The action is amazing, Reacher shows you all his skills from his Mind to his toughness. If you haven't listened to any Reacher books I would highly recommend you to start here.
Not sure I can or I would. I would just say it's a fun mystery with twists and action
Dick Hill is one of the best. Dick is a master of his craft and he does an amazing Reacher.
Yes it was but I broke it off over a few days. I loves it and it is very hard to shut it off.
I thought it has wonderful action and a very solid story that paints a great picture of who Reacher is. I love how Lee Child painted the picture in your mind and how Dick hill gave life to those pictures. Great Book Folks
"Niki Heat makes this a great listen"
smart,beautiful,tough
Niki duct taped to a chair and how she gets free and then kicks the bad guys ass. This showed how fast and how smart her Mind works and How strong of a women she truly is.
Not sure if I have, But I will in the future. Johnny did a great job. I really enjoyed his way of telling you this fun story.
I laughed in parts and felt the suspense like you were watching Castle on ABC Mondays at 10pm EST. Very well done book.
If you like Castle on TV, Then you will love this book. Very fun like the TV show.
"Becca Battoe is masterful"
Yes and just because of Becca Battoe. This series by E L James was ok, yep just OK. The first book was very good but then it started to fall apart, Other then Becca Battoe who gave the limp writing life and still made you want to listen. I never would have read it after the half way through the second book in the series. It should have just ended at book one.
YES!
I would say the two mains, Steele and Grey but Becca did a great job with them all. Hope she does many more books.
The end, I was so happy it was finally over. I did enjoy the red room and the way Becca read it.
Becca Battoe, listen to a master at her craft take a story that gets weak with each page and she makes it a great listen.
"Theater of the Mind"
Lionel Barrymore as Scroge brought to you by Campbell's playhouse and with Orson Wells and the Mercury theater on the air Players.
Since this is a radio play from a radio show I would compare it to any classic radio shows and this is one that sticks out as a top Favorite and at one time in American History it was an Icon for every Christmas season. This is a great way to help you enjoy your Holiday season and Classic radio.
Like always when Lionel Barrymore as Scroge waked up and see's it's still Christmas day and thus he changes for the good old world
The production value that Orson Wells always used when doing anything he did. It gave life to a Dickens Classic story.
Orson Wells would always say Radio is an amazing Media as it's Theater of the Mind. This like all Classic radio shows is for sure Theater of the Mind.
"Classic old time radio show"
Bob Hope became America, his timing, his talent and his style. One could not help but love to travel back in time when Radio was king and thousands gathered around them and were entertained and there lives seemed a little less hurried.
This was taken from 1941 and just think what happened just weeks before this. Bob and His crew did a great job at trying to make people laugh even in the darkest times. Bob's timing for great comedy is what is best about the Bob hope anything.
I think all of Bob "Christmas tree" Hope as he calls himself in this show are worth everyone who likes radio, or loves history or just likes to laugh. Bob Hope was a true Icon.
Just laughed at the dated humor which was very fun indeed.
Radio is Theater of the Mind and I recommend this and all old time radio to everyone
