"very fast!!!!"
this is a very good dramatization! (you feel as though you are watching the play instead of listening to it) but it is very very fast and hard to follow along with the book at times because they skip portions.
also the story is very upseting to listen to, i felt on edge after i listened to this, but it's well written and gets the point accross.
"Horrible dramatization !"
I am a huge fan of this whole series and loved reading the books but the reader and dramatization are horrible!! I stopped listening after the first half-hour and have no intention of finishing this audio book. The sound affects or poor, almost cheesy, and while the narrator voice sounds ok in a British accent, he uses a very odd contorted American accent for the main knight (which, I think is safe to say, we all image with a romantic British accent, right?) This audio-book has almost ruined 'Sir Rowan and the Camerian Conquest' for me, i just can't get that horrible narrator voice out of my head.!
I'd recommend reading this book for yourself since there are no other audio-book options; the audio-book may be horrible, but the series is amazing.
"5 stars + for the reader!"
This reader is AMAZING! He has mastered all the different voices, from British to American to French. You feel as if you're listening to a dramatized addition.
LOVE this reader!
"Captivating reader"
This reader (Prebble) is a master at dickens voices! He is wonderful to listen to.
The Pickwick Papers is a fun read, not a dark story-line such as Tale of Two Cities
"loved it!!"
I LOVED THIS BOOK AND THE READER!!! 5 stars!!!
the story was so funny, I looked forward to reading this each day. this must be one of my fav. books. I also like Adventures of Tom Sawyer read by Pat Bottion.
"very good reader"
I rate the story 3-4 stars but the reader was a 5 star reader.! Didn't like him at first when I heard the sample but when I bought it and listened to him on my ipod he sounded better.
