I have read one through nine of the Dresden series and I started this "saga" reading Book 12 - Changes. Proven Guilty I thought rivaled Changes for the quality of writing, character development and plot. While I have enjoyed all of the books, this one I thought was a cut above. Thanks Jim...keep up the good work! I have just started "White Knight" and look forward to finishing the series.
The detailing of the "scuttlebut". When you love to follow politics you relish the inside detail!
Clinton(s) and Obama, The whole John Edwards story
Oh Yeah...If I could stay awake!
The writing was very good. Hearns shows an attention to detail and authentic feel about how people think, speak and react to things. The dialog was never boring and quite humorous. I liked the different characters...the Fae', talking dogs, werewolves, witches, police... a great mix. I read a lot of this genre and the book has such a different feel to it...very unique, not dark. Good narration!
Atticus is a great character, a complex character. He is very likeable and engaging but when you review some of the dialogue, he shows a very ruthless, cold, pragmatic side.
The climax was great, and I loved the dialogue with the Goddesses.
no clue what I would call it, but it would make a good movie.
You cannot say this is a "great" book, but it is very good and fun to read. I can't wait to get the next one.
Yes maybe after I finish the other books in the arc! Mosley captures the rhythm of New York and Mirron Willis delivers solid if not outstanding narration. I read a lot of this genre and I really liked this book. I has a solid plot and I loved the characters.
I really liked Twill...for the same reasons his dad likes him!
This is the first performance I have listened to by Willis. I will look for more
I laughed a lot, the dialogue was very good. I cannot say that I was bought to tears.
I really enjoyed this book and went right to "...Evil"
I liked Vorkosigian...I have great empathy for honorable men who have to make tough decisions. But I throughly enjoyed Cordelia.
I particularly enjoyed the dialogue between Cordelia and Vorkosigan
This is the second book I have read by the author, having read the 4th book in this story arc. This story was much more enjoyable and seemed better written and more believeable. I like books from this genre and Ms.Bujold does a decent job.
Sometimes it seems as though there is a different writer doing the dialogue...one of them very good and the other one boring, predictabe and pedantic. I particularly enjoyed the interplay between Vorkosigian and Cordelia, especially early in the
