"Superficiality"
Extremely shallow and superficial review of Churchill's life. Not as detailed as a "Reader's Digest" version. It seemed to be a poorly abridged version of a much longer book. Many terms, events, and relationships just beg to be addressed and expanded. Overall, there are much better Churchill biographies.
"Weighty Tome"
This book has everything you would ever want to know about cancer and more. I am a physician and found it exceedingly detailed, full of facts, and sometimes hard to follow. If it were not being read to me, I am sure that I would never have finished it. That being said, I still would recommend it for anyone with an interest in cancer. By the end, you will be all too well informed...and probably very upset.
"Start at the beginning"
Start this series at the beginning. Do NOT read this book first. If you do, you will hate the first 5.5 hour Part 1, in which the past is discussed, at length, incompletely and boringly, forever. Finally, in Part 2, some action and adventure occur that livens things up a bit. The Audible review did not make the point that starting at the beginning in book 1 of this Series is critical to the enjoyment of the story.
"Not what you would expect from Cussler"
Not well done. This was my first "Oregon" series book and my last. Too pat; too slick. By the end, the beginning is forgotten. All actions by the Oregon crew go all too well with miraculous saves and coincidences. The story plods on forever. Not very entertaining like Cussler's usual.
"Another disappointing abridged version"
The unabridged version would be excellent. The abridged version was full of gaps that continually interrupted the story line. I would not recommend downloading this version. It leaves one unfulfilled.
"I agree with Henrik."
He said it all. Do not waste your time.
