"A must read!"
This book kept me on edge almost the whole way through. It is a must read based on the times we are in. I had no idea about the severity of biological warfare and the implications of someone having it. I feel like my eyes have been opened. I would suggest it to everyone.
"Pleasant surprise"
I got this book on a suggestion from a friend and I am very glad I did. This is a great story and feels new...not like the same story told and retold by other fantasy writers. I strongly suggest getting this book. I don't think you'll be disapointed.
"Very engaging"
What a great sequel to a great story!! My only disapointment is that we are back to waiting for the next/last book. This is book 2 so obviously don't start with this one. I read a few reviews that complained about various parts in this book but I don't agree. Every single part seems to be important to the overall story. I can't encourage you to read this series enough...it is well worth the time. I have read/listened to several long books and this one does not feel as long as it is. Try it and see, you won't be disappointed.
"Loved it!!"
I too at first was disappointed to hear there was a change in narration, but that didn't last past the first chapter. I thought the new narrator did a great job and I would honestly be fine with either narrator finising the series...both did a superb job. Don't pay attention to all the people complaining about the switch, most of them admit they didn't finish listening to it.
The book was another great addition to the Dresden series. If you liked the previous books then don't hesitate to get this one, and don't wait to see if they will have the other guy narrate it later or resort to reading it if you normally listen to it. I promise you that its a great production. My only complaint is that after waiting for a year or so for the book to come out that I am now back to waiting on the next one...and this one just came out. Bummer!!
"another great collection by Card"
I am a huge fan of card so my review may be biased. This was another great read (listen). Card does a wonderful job with his charecter development. This book is a collection of short stories that are focused around a central theme. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I found myself wishing each short story had been longer. Just like with the other card books, same wonderful narrators. Even though I am not a mormon and there are many mormon charecters in this book, I would suggest you give it a try.
"Wow...what a sequal"
Speaker of the Dead is a wonderful companion to Ender's Game. It can be read without reading Ender's Game...but I suggest starting with Ender's Game. Speaker for the Dead is not as fast paced as Ender's Game...but it is just as powerful. It is filled with a wide array of political, religious, scientific, and extraterrestrial ideas. If you have not read it...get it today!
"Held me through to the end"
I was skeptical when purchasing this book but was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the book held my interest from start to finish. I would suggest it to a friend.
"Awe inspiring"
This lecture opens your mind to beautiful and optomistic views about our future as it relates to our past. A well thought out and insightful listen. I would recomend to anyone willing to think outside the box.
