Live in the period of 1830-1844. Feel the personal thoughts of Brewster Cabot who followed, loved, and suffered persecution with one proclaimed to be a prophet, Joseph Smith, the man who started The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I LISTENED TO IT ONCE, DIDN'T CARE FOR IT MUCH, THEN BY ACCIDENT IT STARTED AGAIN ON MY IPOD, (LIKE A YEAR LATER) AND I GOT CAUGHT UP IN IT.
PUT MYSELF IN THE HISTORY OF LIVING THERE AND GOING THOUGH THE
WHAT THEY DID. THE AUTHOR AND NARRATOR WAS SO GOOD, IT WAS EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND PUT YOUR HEART INTO THEIR BELIEFS AND HARDSHIPS.
LOVE IT AND GOING TO LISTEN TO IT RIGHT NOW TO SEE IF I MISS ANYTHING AT THE END. THE END WAS THE MOST SURPRISING TO ME. NEED TO LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND THAT PART AGAIN.

So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

What a great book. Just loved it. Well written and the characters were so real. Listened to it twice, and I'm ready to do it again. One of the best books I have listened.

By the time James Frey enters a drug and alcohol treatment facility, he has so thoroughly ravaged his body that the doctors are shocked he is still alive. Inside the clinic, he is surrounded by patients as troubled as he: a judge, a mobster, a former world-champion boxer, and a fragile former prostitute. To James, their friendship and advice seem stronger and truer than the clinic's droning dogma of How to Recover.

    Overall

I loved it, listened to it twice already, being a true story or not, it was so well done and written, I could feel the pain and confusion of the main character. My son is going though the same right now, don't know where he is or what he is doing. I relate him with this book. It has helped me understand addiction better. Just a wonderful written book!!
