The plot and character development are at the level of Scooby Doo and Inspector Gadget; there are many better-written modern stories out there. However, you can feel the innocence of the age in the writing (which comes with a solid dose of that age's sexism, unfortunately). What my wife and I found almost as interesting as the stories was that these recordings include the original radio advertisements, which is fascinating for anyone interested in media culture.
The voice acting was good, but it was wasted on this story. I can suspend my disbelief for a good thriller story, but the number of plot holes, psychological caricatures, plus unnecessary and preposterous technologies all combined made a hot hot mess.
