He wears a mask…and he is following her. Staring at her like no other man since Colin. But Colin is dead and Amelia believes she will never again shiver with pleasure, never again sigh his name. Until her masked pursuer lures her into a moonlit garden and a single, reckless kiss. Now she is obsessed with discovering his identity. Perfectly attuned to his every desire, his every thought, she will not stop until she knows his every secret.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Privately, yes. Great story, but not you mother's romance novel!

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Passion for Him?

    The bolting of the door...

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The masked ball...

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. The flashbacks would make it too confusing. Though I enjoyed this the first-time around, I honestly didn't get all the layers until the second listen...

    Any additional comments?

Great book and even worth a second listen!

  • The Disappearing Spoon: And Other True Tales of Madness, Love, and the History of the World from the Periodic Table of the Elements

Reporter Sam Kean reveals the periodic table as it’s never been seen before. Not only is it one of man's crowning scientific achievements, it's also a treasure trove of stories of passion, adventure, betrayal, and obsession. The infectious tales and astounding details in The Disappearing Spoon follow carbon, neon, silicon, and gold as they play out their parts in human history, finance, mythology, war, the arts, poison, and the lives of the (frequently) mad scientists who discovered them.

No other book comes to mind.

Which character – as performed by Sean Runnette – was your favorite?

Great book, don't hesitate. Kids are doing a relisten with me and beg for a few more minutes at the end of each chapter. Great facts to start any adult conversation as well....No regrets-science is awesome!

Since then, the world has changed dramatically: technology designed to bring people closer together has only made it that much harder to avoid "people you can't stand." At best, such people can make life stressful and unpleasant. At worst, they can keep you from achieving important goals.

In his bravest and most challenging book yet, Seth Godin shows how we can thrive in an economy that rewards art, not compliance. He explains why true innovators focus on trust, remarkability, leadership, and stories that spread. And he makes a passionate argument for why you should be treating your work as art. Art is not a gene or a specific talent. It's an attitude, available to anyone who has a vision that others don't, and the guts to do something about it.

Nothing incites Marcus more than the primal hunger roused by his former fiancée, Elizabeth. It’s been years since she jilted him for another man, but that only means there’s a lot to catch up on, a lot to make up for, and that he’s going to enjoy every sweet moment.… The same drive and passion that sent her into another man’s arms is what brings Elizabeth back to Marcus. Her attraction to him is the one thing she fears, but she’s run out of options. Resisting is impossible. But does she have the courage to surrender everything?

    Hot, sinful romance.

    Classic Sylvia Day.

What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?

Her narration brings male and female characters to life-never forced or faked.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Ask for it-suits it well.

Great book and narration. Steer clear of male narrators with Sylvia Day...they ruin her stories unfortunately....

"Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness… He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires."

Dangerously seductive and sinfully beautiful, Susanna Burney is society’s most sought after matchbreaker. Paid by wealthy parents to part unsuitable couples, she’s never yet failed to accomplish her mission of diverting a groom-to-be - until her final assignment brings her face-to-face with the man who’d once taught her an intimate lesson in heartache.

What did you love best about Notorious?

I am new to audible, and my experience with this genre has been my mothers Victoria Holt books. Wow-adulthood does have it's advantages! Steamy love scenes with a story-line that held my interest until the very end...The female narration of an American male voice took an adjustment, but glad I overcame it. Great "read"!

What did you like best about this story?

    The plot twists-great story.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Had some trouble with the male accents, otherwise perfect.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Notorious-nothing is what it seems...

    Any additional comments?

At times the theme was a little dark, but wonderful ending!
