I would read another book by J.D. Mason for sure. I thought the story was interesting at best. I didn't think the title fit the story but that is something I can deal with. The characters were well developed and I felt it flowed pretty well. I didn't enjoy the narration by Erica B. Peeples at all. She paused when there shouldn't have been a pause. She mispronounced several words in the words which caused confusion in what I was listening to. Her voice was ok but I feel that she needs more practice before making this a full time career. Her vocabulary seems limited. I haven't seen the book in print but every word she mispronounced I knew right away what she was supposed to say. I almost stopped listening to the book because she was just that terrible.

I liked the characters and I also liked the story line.

See my previous comment about the narrator's performance. Like I said before, it was sub-par and could use some polishing. Maybe she should practice reading aloud before recording it. I guess there's no editing done before the final copy is presented to us. If there was, I sure her errors would have been caught.

No. It wasn't that exciting. It might make it to Lifetime.

I don't think anybody would enjoy it more. Maybe a teenager who hasn't experienced much in life yet. It was just too pedictable. I knew who the perpetrator was once she started talking about that backpack.

I like Mary Monroe and enjoy lots of her other books. I would and will listen to her again.

The reader from the first book, Denise Burse, was a better reader. She had more passion and doesn't smack her lips every five seconds like Patricia Floyd. That is so annoying and I had to stop listening several times because it just became too annoying for me to continue.

I like that the characters were still there and that Rhoda and Annette are still friends. I wish that Annette wasn't so gullible and easy to take advantage of. It seems like in the previous book she was a lot stronger character.

Nothing can be changed now the book is already in production.

In this second installment to Little Black Girl lost I was still feeling the pain that Johnny felt and I was on the edge of my seat daily wondering what would happen next. It is the perfect prequel to the first and I cant wait to listen to part III. I am totally excited about this book. Johnny is someone we can all relate to as young black women. Keith Lee Johnson has outdone himself once again.

I had a hard time finishing this book because it was so slow and somewhat unrealistic to me. I did not like all the references to church and God. How are these women supposed to be so godly but they are divorced from their mates. How is divorce what the church would want for them. The second story took the cake because to me this woman was not making good decisions at all. I will not read another book by this author.

This book was not what I thought it would be. The reader who sounded country and not African American was the first mistake that was made. I almost stopped listening when I heard her voice because she is not believable as a black female. She mispronounces words and is not ghetto enough in my opinion. The book did not have enough romance and hardcore sex. If she didnt want to write about the sex then this book shouldnt be in the erotica section of the downloads. This book did not hold my interest as many other books I have listened to recently. I did not feel a connection to the characters and did not see them as real people. I will probably not buy anything further from this author. I will definitely never listen to another book read by this narrator. My money was wasted on this novel.
