I have only just started reading/listening to Grisham's novels (this is my third) but so far it's my favorite. By the time I got to the end it really felt as if the people in this story were real, not just characters made up by an author. This book also sparked an interest in the Pontanal in Brazil for me, a fascinating area.
Frank Muller is also one of the best audio book readers I've ever heard and his performance here is nothing short of amazing.
I have listened to quite a few mystery thrillers and legal thrillers but this one really stands out. The paranormal twist made it unique and for me very entertaining. Cree Black is great and I can't wait to get into "Land of Echoes". It's the sequel and it just became available at Audible!
I really enjoyed this book because it was filled with many twists and turns from the beginning all the way till the unexpected ending. Besides the unpredictability of this story, another thing that made this title enjoyable to me was that the computer activities, like the use of email were actually feasible. This was my first title by this author and I found it to be difficult to put down until I had finished it.
