"Disappointing"
I usually enjoy books by Douglas Preston, but did not like this one at all. The story seemed very contrived and I wasn't convinced by any of the characters. On top of that, the narrator was down right annoying. His nasal voice was distracting throughout the reading. I hope Mr. Preston does better next time.
"Fascinating"
I am listening to this book every chance I get. It's complicated, sometimes confusing, but always interesting. Characters that appeared in the first book of the trilogy, suddenly appear in this book, pulling the story together and allowing the author to take the story in all kinds of directions. The narrator, John Lee, is one of my favorites. He did some of Daniel Silva's earlier books. I really hope audible gets the third book in the series, Absolution Gap. I can hardly wait to hear it.
"Good, But"
I actually liked this book quite a bit. The heroine was quite strident, but she grows on you. The download, however, was not good. There were at least half a dozen places that the recording repeated itself, so I'd have to listen to the same part of the story over again. Hard to fast forward when your driving. Hope they get this fixed.
"Simply Silly"
What a disappointment. I generally like Baldacci, but this book wasn't well written and the story line was so far out there that it was totally unbelievable. I honestly didn't care what happened to the characters in the end.
"Finally!!"
I have always enjoyed Linda Fairstein's books, but had to listen to them from other sources because Audible only had abridged versions (can't stand them). Now they have a few of her books unabridged with Barbara Rosenblatt narrating. These are great books to listen to. I hope they get more.
