Thought provoking and interesting. I enjoyed listening to the many different thoughts on beliefs about what occurs after death. I would have like a little more "evidence."

In this final and most ambitious book in a wonderfully inventive trilogy, veteran interplanetary travelers Jamie and Ramsay must protect their alien friend Wishaway, now living with them on Earth, from the scrutiny of sinister forces on their own planet. In the meantime, Wishaway’s beloved home planet of Altair seems to be hurtling toward doom.

Richard Mayhew is an unassuming young businessman living in London, with a dull job and a pretty but shrewish fiancée. Then one night he stumbles upon a girl lying on the sidewalk, bleeding. He stops to help her, and his life is changed forever. Soon he finds himself living in a London most people would never have dreamed of: a city of monsters and saints, murderers and angels. It is a world that exists entirely in a subterranean labyrinth of sewer canals and abandoned subway stations.

Not so very long ago, Eragon - Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider - was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders. months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can.

I think this is the best of the series. Where the others seemed disjointed at times, Inheritance, was well planned and thought out. Gerald Doyle rocks.

Bartimaeus, everyones favorite (wise-cracking) djinni, is back in book four of this best-selling series. As alluded to in the footnotes throughout the series, Bartimaeus has served hundreds of magicians during his 5,010 year career. Now, for the first time, fans will go back in time with the djinni, to Jerusalem and the court of King Solomon in 950s BC. Only in this adventure, it seems the great Bartimaeus has finally met his match.

Well, to have read all 4 books should tell you that Stroud held my attention and wove a great great story into 4 books. Each novel gave me greater appreciation for the characters. I would love to see another book……hint hint….

The story moved and held my interest. The narrator really captures Mikaelsen's storyline. I am going to check out other novel's read by Lee Tergesen. This is the second book of Mikaelsen's I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Why we think it’s a great listen: Gaiman’s not just an award-winning author, but a narrator who earns rave reviews – and fields requests from other authors to perform their books, too! Nobody Owens, known to his friends as Bod, is a normal boy. He would be completely normal if he didn't live in a sprawling graveyard, being raised and educated by ghosts, with a solitary guardian who belongs to neither the world of the living nor of the dead....

This was a very different book. The author and narrator takes you into the story, captivates your attention, and holds you attention until the end of the story. The only thing I did not enjoy was the little bits of music introducing the chapters. This was an unexpected find.
