In history WW2 tends to overshadow WW1. The accounts of WW1 were moving. It wraps up the series nicely.
It took me a while to get around to this one. I am glade I did. Pinchot does a great job narrating and the story keep my attention the whole time.
Best one in the Bosh Series so far (granted I have only listened to the first three). Great melding of courtroom drama and crime drama. I listen to the whole book in two days.
I finally finished this one and thought, "what's the point?" There was really good character development but the plot seemed to be sparse. Seemed to me that this book was a very long into to the next book.
I must say that when I need a break and want a good laugh, I listen to this series. Christopher Moore is very funny. I don't listen to very many books more than once but this is one exception for me.
Robert Littell really seemed to do his homework. After listening to the story I could not help but research some of the characters and events. The story was so well woven into history that I could recall reading articles, history books and seeing some of the events unfold on the news so many years ago. Masterful story telling!
When the CIA was looking to find their possible mole, I could not help but think of the book Noble House which eludes to the double agent in British Intelligence.
I enjoy history and politics (while not a scholar by any means) and I get frustrated by the news because so little of the story is ever really told. I found this book very enlightening and engaging despite it being a non-fiction book.
I was looking for something light and a little different. This book fit the bill perfectly. I enjoyed comic books as a kid but was not sure how interesting a novel about superheros would be. I will say I was pleasantly surprise.
I saw this movie and thought it was ok. Having visited New Orleans recently I decided to give a listen to Interview with a Vampire more for a glimpse into the culture of New Orleans. I can say I am glad I did. The book is so much better than the movie and having been to some of the places mentioned in the book was just an added bonus. Overall I thought is was a great story.
Growing up there we a few movies or shows that I would watch over and over. This was one of them. After listening to the book, I can say that I really enjoyed it as much as watching it.
