"Extremely messy storyline and overall depressing"
The story is about a non-gender soul, travelling each day at midnight to a new body, taking over this persons life for a day. That - in it self - seems interesting enough BUT, it is a mess trying to keep up with all theese different gay and straight people all tangeld together, and adding to this, that the soul falls in love and keeps trying to be with this love of his/her life, with only moments of succes, is just downright depressing. If you are anything like me, suffering with your main characters all the way to the end of each book, you will need a great deal of strength and happy thoughts to get through it, and if you seek classic happy-ending books - you might might want to reconsider all together.
"Made me want to see the movie"
I liked it a lot, but it is a very slow narrator and sometimes I got just a little bored. Thats why it made me want to see the movie, as they tend to cut out a lot in order to only keep the esentials. Overall the storyline is very nice though and I gave it four stars for the romanceplot.
"No no no!"
I just did not like it. The language was too much and unless you are into porn and hard core male dominacne stay away!!
"It was everything I wanted it to be!"
Smart, funny, sad, insightfull, romantic and all inbetween. I just loved it - all of it. A truly great story. I hope to hear much more from her, and soon!
"Have been a twihard forever but this is just wrong"
I have loved Stephanie and the Twilight books forever, but this is just wrong!! I could not wrap my head around it, and I forund the story not only repulsive but even worse extremely dull! You could cut out every other page and not even notice it... Stay away before it really ruins your relationship to Stephanie Meyer all together.
"I just loved it - funny, real and surprising."
If you like a good romance novel, this is just the thing but bucckle up because midway it will challenge you by throwing in both extreme drama and sadness! Enough said I think... Just listen and love!
"Not your classic fantacy novell"
Well, if you are into light housewifeporn, this is just the thing. I myself seek the fantasy romance novells, so I must say, that I was a bit surprised... I choose the book due to its supernatural elements, but I soon discovered, that the supernatural elements were just a nice way of hiding the real content of the book (read sex and the word "thrust" a lot). I am not saying it is bad, but if it is love and happy ever-after stories you seek, this is not the place to look.
"A nice story in a "Bridget Jones" - type of way.."
If you are in the mood for a british humored story, this is just the thing. Lots of embarassing moments, off key singing (yes - she really does sing), a lot of confusing texts and e-mails and little bit of love, but no big exclamations and only a few kisses. I did like the stoy, but it did not, as many other books have, keep me up at night. It a story you listen to, just for the fun of it, but is is not a story waiting for a sequal. I am normally mostly interested in romance fantasy books, but it did make for a nice little break, and I did laugh several times. If you are a Bridget Jones-type of girl - this is your type of book!
"Of course I loved it - how could I not?"
Yes, it is every bit as good, as everyone says, and adding my own memories of the film as well, it was extremely vivid and oveall fantastic. I get a bit sad every time Jacob at 90 - or 93 (you will get it once you listen) explains about his current life in the home, but as you probably already know, it will all turn out great afterall. If you are in the mood for a great story, with no book 2, 3, 4 ,5 etc. to get through, before getting the final answers, just sit back and enjoy!
