"Hard to pause."
Great story! Moving along well. The Jack Reacher character is getting bolder and more arrogant but remains believable. The narrator is good but his female voices are pitiful.
Overall worth a credit.
"Seriously funny"
Listening to this put me in such a good mood, that when I was driving and someone gave me the finger (undeserved I might add ), I gave her a "thumbs up" sign!!!
I would pay money to be a fly on the wall when she goes through menopause!!
"Entertaining"
OK, so this is not Lee Child, but the storyline is entertaining, and fast moving. As usual, Dick Hill is brilliant.
Worth a listen.
"Do not miss this one!"
This is an incredibly well written book. The mind blowing facts of the POW enslavement by the Japanese and the resulting emotional turmoill was masterfully blended in this book. At times it was painful to listen to the incredible suffering and it haunted my dreams. What was so well done was the utmost respect portrayed by the author for all who was involved - even the Japanese. This is one of the best books I have ever come across.
"Not bad, but not good either."
I like espionage thrillers and read all of Vince Flynn's books, who incidently recommended this book. All I can say is that he can learn from Flynn as how to keep suspense going. I could not stop listening to the Flynn series, and it took me about two weeks to finish this one as I lost interest along the way. The narrator was just OK.
"The fizzle is gone"
This book is not nearly as enjoyable as " The Gray man". The assassin is depicted here as uncertain and drug addicted. Foul language is abound in this book which is unfortunate and was not present in the first book. I now have to screen where I listen to this book. Ended on a cliff hanger, so hopefully the next one will be better.
