Yes. Christina Lauren did an unbelievable job with this novella. It was short as a novella normally is, but there was so much packed into the book. It did not disappointment and it is a must have for fans of the series. And, the cherry on top, IT IS HOT!
It gives us so much information on Bennett and Chloe. I love that they brought you up to speed in such a short read. It is just awesome all the way around. It was so packed there wasn't one part I favored over any other.
Grace Grant is a favorite of mine. Love her as the voice of Chloe. Kirby Heybourne was iffy for me to be honest as the voice of Bennett. But after the second time through I warmed up to him. I hear a lot of complaints about his performance; however, he did grow on me by the second time around.
Loved the ending. It was perfect.
I have always been a fan of Grace Grant's performances. I was reluctant to purchase this book because of reviews. The performance was outstanding as usual with Ms. Grant but I am not sold on the story. I will finish out the trilogy. It is not that I disliked the book I just didn't love it. So yes I would recommend the audiobook but may not the paperback version.
First one for me.
Grace Grant is outstanding. I buy all the books that she narrates simply because I think she is that good. She does well doing both male and female voices. In this book she brings a little bit of a southern accent to the mix. It was not over the top like others I have heard trying to pull of a southern accent. I probably would not have enjoyed the book as much if Grace Grant was not narrating.
I listened to it all in one sitting.
This audiobook has to be tied for #1 along with The Unidentified Redhead.I think the real life chemistry between Keili Lefkovitz and Alice Clayton really makes this audiobook series extremely special. In my opinion, it is because Keili understands Alice and is able to bring that through in her performance.
Jack's movie premiere. When I READ the book, I could feel the range of emotions during the movie premiere but the performance during this scene in the audiobook really made the scene so much more emotional for me.
I really loved Keili as Grace; however, I think she NAILED on Holly. Really hope that the Redhead Series will not be the last we get to hear from Keili. She is truly the BEST narrator I have heard by far.
This book had a wide range of emotions for me. But for the most part I had a grin on my face the entire time I was listening to it. In fact, my cheeks kinda hurt. I think it was the fact that the book just had a smart-ass tone to it without being over zealous about it.
December 2013 CANNOT get here soon enough.
Alice Clayton is a ROM-COM master. This book had me laughing out loud while I listened making me look kinda crazy while I was grocery shopping! This story is a romantic comedy about Grace Sheridan who is a a 33 year "young" actress trying her luck again in Hollywood. Grace meets the hot Hollywood hunk, Jack Hamilton who is 24 year old who is on the verge of being the next big star! They meet at a party thrown by a mutual friend and instantly the flirting begins. I enjoyed the witty banter between Jack and Grace which seems to be right in Alice Clayton's wheelhouse. This is my second book from Alice Clayton and I certainly look forward to many more. The thing I love about her books is how light and funny they are. For the most part there is not a threat looming over the main characters and there is no impending danger. Normal people can relate the characters and they quickly become very endearing.
Wallbanger by Alice Clayton and the Beautiful Bastard Series by Christina Lauren.
I have quite a few..."The British Are Coming!" and the scene at the bar in Santa Barbara. But the airport scene was very touching as well.
LAUGH! OMG! The Corey references and the witty banter were fun. I will definitely be listening to this one again.
WORTH A CREDIT!
I have listened to it 3 times so far. I love the story and I think that Grace Grant and Jonathan Cole did a great job. I loved the first one when it was just Grace Grant but I like the fact that in this book there was a male and a female.
I would not really compare this to another book beside the first one in the series.
I would have to say the opening club scene.
I did listen to this in one sitting. I could not stop.
Yes. I think that Grace Grant really did a great job bringing the characters to life.
There are so many that I loved, it is hard to chose but I would have to go with the stairwell scene.
OMG. I LOVE Grace Grant. I would really consider buying an audiobook just because she reads it.
So I have read other reviews of this book and I have to agree with most of them. I LOVED this book. I laughed from the beginning to the end. I have listened to this audiobook probably 3 times since I bought it and I will listen to it again.
