So this is a gay romance novel. This is the first time I have listened to one. The sex scenes were great, the plot not so much. I guess I was expecting some kind of end point to the book, it seems the authors are setting up for a series but really didn't care about ending this book. Saying that, one of the characters is having a hard time with whole religion/ gay thing. I think some of the issues he faces, are what a lot of gay people have had to face. I thought that maybe this would be a good book for someone who is struggling with the same issues.
I really enjoy this story line. Every character is this story is a strong character. This book is a continuation of Kate Daniels struggle. She finally meets her father and she determines that her life should be hers and she should live it the way she wants and not how others want her to live. I think there is a moral in there somewhere.
I do not like BDSM stories. I have suffered through the first 2 in this series and cannot even finish this one. I really like Kresley Cole but this story line is terrible. Everything is weak, weak female character, weak story line, just plain weak. I couldn't even finish it.
This is just a continuation of The Professional story line. Much the same as the first book. Not good and seeming to get worse by the minute.
Ok, so BDSM books are not my thing. I don't like how some of these books, have female characters that are so weak willed. This book is no exception. This book has been in my library for a long time and I should of just left it there. I love Kresley Cole and have listened or read all her other books. In my opinion this is not to her usual standard.
I have like every other story in this series. I just cannot seem to get into this book. The battle scenes are almost too descriptive, I find that I cannot concentrate through all of the non- ending fight scenes. I really like Franks but this story doesn't really do him justice.
I really like this story. Action and Adventure. I like how the main character seems to be a normal kid to start out and transforms into something so much more.
Enjoyable listening, funny and entertaining. This one had been on my wish list for a while now. I wish I would of listened to it earlier. The main character seems to be a somewhat average guy, then comes the seeing ghosts. After that the troubles of being young, injured and poor, doesn't seems to be that bad.
After much eye rolling and heavy sighs, I have decided to turn the book off. I just cannot do it. Weak female lead. I like almost everyone else in the book but the main character. Wishy-washy with a side of princess complex, that is the main character in a nut shell. I think the Narrator is good, her talent is wasted on this book.
I just could not get into this story. Like so many other mysteries, the main character seemed based on Sherlock. I did like the "butterfly effect" aspect of this book. The character's were not well developed but the story line was ok.
Funny and thought provoking is how I found this book. I was listening to it in public and had to stop, I was getting strange looks because I was laughing out loud. There was also some philosophy that I found interesting, it was there without being preachy. This is the second of A. Lee Martinez's books I have read, I will be listening to more. Very entertaining.
